This review will NOT mention some suspect advice I got from Scott at the end of the show. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
"used-esque sound" hahahahaha you're stupid, deaf, or both. great setlist. Here are my picks for drummers: Yeah, Millencolin has to be about the weakest of the Swedish Bands to cross over. This skater guy who used to sell really terrible weed out of his dorm room was all over these guys. 5 drummers you need to listen toif you like drumming at all:(no particular order) And, millencolin isn't that big in Sweden, they had problems selling out a 1400 capacity venue in the capital, and people came from everywhere since it was their first proper show in sweden in 5 years... For Monkeys was from 1997, and it's their biggest cd except from home from home, so don't expect people to call you mr underground. "Fashioncore is cool because if they sound bad, at least they look good." I like the diversity that punk shows are starting to have. Tours like this and others really bring out a diverse crowd and so far it's not been bad. I mean sure, their are some assholes but their are thoughs at every show. Millencolin... "Home From Home" was shite. Their only record I ever thoroughly enjoyed was "For Monkey". And that was like seven years ago. Millencolin will probably stick with Burning Heart since Erik does work with the owner and all, but I could see them doing something like Rancid and getting a Major distrobution deal since they've made it so big in Sweden (enough to win Swedish rock of the year) and they could very well break through and become fairly mainstream in the US. Sadly, I'm willing to bet that their next album gets produced by their proclaimed idol, Brett Gurewitz, and they release it through a major. Bashing senses fial should be prohibited. they are probibly not going to leave burning heart, their guitarist erik works there. they might leave epitaph though depending on the situation. Millencolin signs to drive-thru... Because their contract is done. Why are they leaving Burning Heart? I'm not surprised Millencolin are shopping around, almost every big Epitaph band has bailed. I heard that Millencolin hate gays. Is this true? If so thats messed up becuase the punk scene is one scene in which homosexuality has been accepted with open arms. if millencolin sign with drive thru... well... wow. that would be some fucked up shit. wow, dont compare matchbook romance to the used....this review sucked it consisted of you bashing two bands that are too "gay" for your taste....and all you said was "Millencolin slayed all." or something to those terms.....thats fucking shitty. to diss bands, then write 3 words about the bands u liked...haha. if millencolin signed with drive-thru that would suck ass. id rather they signed with a major. millencolin says they will not decide on a label until after they record the next album, see who can give them a deal they want, at least this is what they said in St. Petersburg Are Millencolin signing with Drive Thru? Just for reference, tickets to millencolin in Sweden in a venue which has about the same size or smaller than what they're playing in the states was 30$. WOW. You are good to moan but when come the time to say something good about a band, you have not much to say. You wrote about Senses Fail's fashion. Why not tyoing about the Millencolin's members one? They are a part-owner of a clothing store, it would have got a point there....or why you did mention the Millencolin guitarist is a huge fan of Matchbook roamnce? or either if he were wearing his huge bagues or not? cause it's would be pointless you would say to me. Nikola makes often special things on scene. Did you even notice one of them? Damn, you are a weak reviewer and I hope they don't pay you for the crap you just pooped. No. They still didn't find Nikola's brother. Sorry. millencolin were good when i saw them in nyc. but they got to have better support bands. bring bombshell rocks back here or something. this review was awesome both those bands suck millencolin rule... your from iowa i give you props Mick Jagger has more wrinkles on his face than a severed scrotum. "Yeah, I know this isn't a good review, its just a bunch of jokes Milo and I came up with after the show. Senses Fail does suck though. even though it was millencolin playing, they got boring after the first 5 songs, they played all the best ones right in the beginning. matchbook romance needs a new singer. every time i read a review on senses fail by anyone, it's the longest and most detailed review out of any of the other bands playing the show...and they're not even the headliner. Last time I saw them was with Brand New at the metro, they had a crowd response comparable to brand new's. I'm wondering if it's either the fact that they are 16-21 years old that has everyone so jealous of them. Everyone also is forgetting that the songs they are playing are 2 years old and are demo songs that they decided to sell as their EP. I'm going to wait til the full length comes out to actually give them some fair criticism. I mean if they can get that big off of demo songs, I'm going to keep my mouth shut. I actually got to talk to MC after they played here, and I was afraid to ask if they had found his brother...but I would really like to know what happened there as well...Oh yeah, these guys rock out like few others, the songs off Home From Home made my year... senses fail rox! ur just jealous of them, somehow! wooo. This review was good, but here's how I would make it better: seriously, fuck senses fail they're a bunch of rich new jersey fashion core kids homegrown sucks ass. they used to be ok then they signed to drive-thru and the "ass kicking" stopped at the exact time they starting sucking ass. "Ruining it for you "first" idiots. " screw you, homegrown kicks ass. Gee, Homegrown perhaps? Allister? Fenix TX? I don't remember MC playing Twenty-Two... "Once again, another bunch of Drive Thru suburban white boys screaming incoherently. I suppose this may be an improvement from the pee and potty jokes that are the label's modus operandi, though it may indeed have been regressing." Senses Fail is pretty much the worst band I've ever seen. I fuckin hate my friends whenever they talk about how good they are..well, my ex-friends I shot them all today for talking about how good Senses Fail is. Yeah completely agree on senses fail though they have to be one of the worst bands ever there lead dude is the biggest fag on stage I have ever seen Yeah, I know this isn't a good review, its just a bunch of jokes Milo and I came up with after the show. Senses Fail does suck though. Shitty review. I don't care what the band members were wearing. The only band you talked about in terms of music or performance was MBR. Millencolin was surprisingly good at this show. I've been a fan of the band ever since Life On A Plate, but for whatever reason I just figured that they wouldn't be that good live - maybe it was their recent lack of touring coupled with lack of new material. They definitely rocked it, though, and while they didn't play all my favorite songs, they still touched on every album. Kudos for that. Ruining it for you "first" idiots. first? |
