Ok, wow I looked at the reviews today and realized that NUFAN's Leche Con Carne was not reviewed. How could argueably one of their best albums have gone unnoticed? Bad ass album. I can't believe it came out in 95, man I am getting old. Also one of the best punk rock albums of all time. 51 Days is a really good song, since I live near Waco, Texas and saw all the senseless violence, it appeals to me. Tony Sly is an excellent songwriter. My first encounter with nufam was Daily Grind and i've been hooked since. Daily Grind kicks ass but I also love el eche con carne and don't miss the train "Redemption Song, the Bob Marley cover is on here as well. I have never heard so much emotion put into a cover as I did here. The passion in Tony's voice, as well as the speed of the song never ceases to amaze me." Tony is an asshole. soulmate the best NUFAN song?? 51 days boring?? jesus christ get your head checked...i will however agree that fatal flu doesn't seem to get the respect it deserves. i did a seminar on Waco back in high school and used 51 days...good times "Hm I never said that. I personally liked Making Friends and More Betterness the best. I also like the Live in a Dive CD, the version of "Not Your Savior" is better than on CD. First of all.. Leche is one of the best all time newschool punk rock records, period. can someone please tell me the difference between a cd, lp, or record and exactly what the hell an ep is? i was a little confused about your comment of fatal flu. i always thought it was about a girl or boy who had contracted A.I.D's. i could be wrong though. Anyway, I thought this album was alright. It had good lyrics and sounded fine but as a music fan i like abit more creativity. Im not asking for jazz, i love punk and hardcore, but it just sounded bland to me. thats just me though. As for that guy who busted on that kid for saying cd instead of ablum all i can say is get a life. I dont buy albums because i cant play them in my car, i cant skip songs and i cant return where i left off. It's the year 2003 and most people dont buy albums. Don't Miss the Train is a classic and overlooked album... so catchy straight up punk. making friends is their best. they've gone soft. "If I had never discovered this band or this album, I have no idea where I would be today. I owe No Use For A Name everything." Good album, not just a CD but an album, since it's apparently so important that be clarified. Making Friends was better but maybe that's because I bought it used for 99 cents. An extremely horrible review. He used the term "CD" nine times in reference to the album. Hey kid, you probably didn't know, but this album was also released on LP as well. Just because you can't by LPs at walmart doesn't mean they don't exist. So how about reviewing the vinyl counterpart next time as well? Man, you're a fucking asshole...this is a great album but the new stuff is incredible. The only weak album from No use is Incognito. Maybe you're just too stupid to make the difference between pop and melodic punk....Jackass....you sux...nufan rulz agreed, live in a dive is a good album, especially for those who don't know any NUFAN. it also sounds really good for a live performance, but then again so do all live in a dives that i've heard so far. Your first NUFAN cd should be Live In a Dive. It gives a taste of every NUFAN cd, and it's one of the best live cds I own. You were 14 for two years! awesome. WHen i was 14 i listened to this album everyday for 2 years why would you be shocked this hasn't been reviewed? maybe b/c nufan really isn't that great of a band? generic so cal punk rock that are as interchangeable as dozens of other bands. yea and song by song reviews blow. I reckon it's NUFAN's best CD...and yes you should get this as your first NUFAN CD To 8dollarclarinetsolo, Making Friends is their best album, but you should put your money on something better than this. to person below me, i have no idea as i only have more betterness and hard rock bottom, but you can go to their website and listen to mp3s from all their albums would this be the best cd for me to get as my first no use cd? old trend newly discovered on this site: I still like "Don't Miss The Train" the best. yeah sry man ur way off...good cd yes, but things only improved for the band since the cd. The newer stuff is far more melodic and the lyrics are well-written. I'd have to say their best cd is actuall Hard Rock Bottom , with More Betterness as a close 2nd. Song by song reviews are annoying as hell. this = hard rock bottom More Betterness was solid but this album got old really quick. Can anyone confirm or deny if "51 Days" is about David Koresh? Their newer stuff is way better. More Betterness was gold. I own all of their albums too. I'm the biggest fan If I had never discovered this band or this album, I have no idea where I would be today. I owe No Use For A Name everything [too bad they've been putting out shit albums recently]. |
