Long ago I recall hearing a small bit on a punknews.org review's comments section about a certain five-piece band from Massachusetts that compared them to Strike Anywhere. I checked out their mp3.com page, liked the song, but never bothered to follow up on it as time went on; you know how it is. Several days ago my friend Josh inquired if I wouldn't mind reviewing a demo he had lying around from a band called No Trigger. My memory clicked and I gladly obliged. they rip. the new cd's sick too. Now that the sizzlechets are no longer together, No Trigger is my favorite local band. I've seen them 3 times so far and i never get sick of them, they're a great band. Pretty good demo cd too, if only my copy didnt skip....oh well. Song lyrics are very weak but their live show.... amazing. this band has so much potential. they are on a good track. they are all good at what they do. they NEED to play more shows. they all kno how to rock and the music is sick.. 5 talented individuals, show respect. pj Sounds decent, I'll probably buy their full-length once it comes out. They are somewhat similar to Strike Anywhere, but I can't see why people think they sound identical. this band sounds almost exactly like strike anywhere. i love the fireside bowl. but yeah, whatever. they were going to knock it down, and they have been talking about doing it for years, but i guess they finally gave up on that that idea becouse of a lack of money; or so im told. oi oi I don't think they sound that much like Strike Anywhere. I mean, they're both melodic hardcore bands, but the similarities stop there. who would wanna copy strike anywhere? yuck This review was good, but here's how I would make it better: this band is SICK. just what i need in an up and coming band. i cant wait until they tour the west coast... Petro, you are an idiot. Nobody cares about who you saw on your one outing to the legendary Fireside. The place isn't that great: hard to see the band, speakers are too big for a small space, and also, you can't drink while watching the bands(if you can even see them). They get good shows but I prefer other venues. Ie. Bottom Lounge. weren't they gonna knock Fireside down to make a parking lot for the park? Anyway, I hope not, great place. Only been there once though....for The Epoxies/Vexers/Groovie Ghoulies/Electric Eel Shock/Apers show. EES, Epoxies, and Vexers rocked fucking ass! Afterwards I even got laid! This band is fucking awesome and since i saw them over 2 years ago open for Bigwig at the fireside ive been hooked to both there demos. There first one when they were a 3 piece is even better then this one in my opinion. They really need to get going and do this band full time instead of only summer tours. Look up "No Trigger" in the dictionary and it will say: "See Strike Anywhere." This band was awesome live when I saw them last summer as well. This demo EP is really good, and they have a whole hell of a lot of potential. well i just listened to the 2 mp3's and theyre both pretty good, not as good as strike anywhere or kid dynamite, but good nonetheless. a band that should be checked out. right. |
