VariousPunk 0 Rama 6 (2001)Epitaph Records Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: moldy (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on June 11th 2001 Well, the sixth installment of the highly successful Punk-o-rama series is finally in stores. As with each one before it, it is a collection of the majority of the Epitaph bands. Most of the songs on this one are from new releases that are coming out sometime this year, along with these there are a couple of old gems, but this is mostly a new disc. Overall this isn't a bad album, most of the songs are enjoyable and catchy, very easy to sing along to after only a couple of listions. If you want to see whats in store for Epitaph over the rest of the year, or new to the punk scene i recomend this album, but if not, save your money and just buy the full lengths when they come out. I think that my favorite songs on this comp where Hot Water Music "Jack of all trades" Bouncing Souls "True Beleivers" Millencolin "Blackeye" and Business "Takers and users" I just skip right to all of these songs and listen to them everytime i put this disc in. I'm really looking forward to getting the new Hot Water Music and Bouncing Souls now. Other honorable mentions go to Dropkick Murphys "the Gauntlet", Descendents "Original Me" and Osker "Strangled" I know that a lot of people hate Osker for some reason, but I love this song, I've been singing it in the shower for the last couple of days. All in all this is not a bad comp, and if you have five bucks laying around go ahead and get it, but if your new to this series or punk, get Punk-o-rama 3 which is the best one. i love punk o ramas and think that epitaph can do no wrong. Lame... Like all the punk-o-ramas exept for 2 and 3, and probably 1, but you can't get that one anywhere...Heard the good songs before: bad religion, dropkick murphys, the pulley song is a good one though... Hope the next punk-o-rama is better... But I'm saying that for 3 years now... The Voodoo Glow Skulls song is pretty catchy, I think, but the NOFX song, I just set it on repeat for like an hour. Hilarious lyrics and a great bassline. The Deviates song stands out, too. Pulley's "runaway" is easily the best song on here, and it's unreleased, so this is defintiely worth 6$.- fathead RAISED FUCKIN' FIST!! hey fathead, rkl borke up, their drummer is now in lagwagon . also the guitarist . i dunno for sure. Well it's ok comp.I like FAT's newst (Live fat die young) much, much more. My fellow punkers - are we nto forgetting that "I Want To Conquer The World" is the best BR song ever recorded? This way, all the youngin's gettin' into the scene (and Epitaph specifically) can hear Bad Religion in their TRUE form, with Brett Gurewitz (and their reunion w/ him just might be what saves this band-gone-shitty) i agree, the pennywise cover rocks, the all cover (well kinda milo covering chad) but yeah geez i was hoping for a "live" or maybe an unreleased bad religion song come on it is their home label, all the bands you hated on the last por (union 13, bombshell rocks, death by stereo, osker, and beatsteaks to name a few) all make really good amends this year buy it (and dont go to hottopic and spend 6.99 go get it for 4.99 no reason why you shouldnt fucking mall rent assholes) ok punk on you forgot to mention "we're desperate". pennywise covering an x song w/ exene cervenka, that alone was worth 5 bucks good compilation, but too bad not all of them are unreleased, Cuz if u didn't know the bands it'd be worth buying the cd, especially the bad religion song, its relly old. The i want to conquer the world was off the '89? no control cd. i'm not sure about the year but it was in the 80s. The best song has to the NOFX song, bath of least resistance |

Am I the only one that got a Donnas song instead of Millencolin, and apparently this is meant to have The (International) Noise Conspiracy and Bombshell Rocks on, but instead I get Terrorgruppe and Heideroosjes, how shit.
