Tuesday night in Detroit. Definitely time for some rock and roll. St. Andrews Hall is a pretty nice venue- and it was pretty damn packed for this show. I haven’t been to a show that was this filled up in a long time. Anyway, here’s my take on the bands: Please login or register to post comments. emocore, noisecore, grindcore, metalcore, screamo....who gives a fuck?? Don't catalogue bands, or people either for that matter. This site is filled with hypocrisy. I agree, Every Time I die is better than Poison the Well. Also, I think Fordirelifesake has breakdowns. I mean, they're not huge like PTW breakdowns, but the tempo goes to half speed and and its way less crazy, but more crushing...they do that. The singer for The Kinison looks like a fetus. Poison the Well isn't that good EVERY TIME I DIE is better than all of these sucky lame ass emocore bands I saw this show in Richmond last week. Poison the Well was good, but did seem to be a bit detached from the crowd. Murder by Death was just plain amazing, and the Bled were ok, although I couldn't really see them from where I was standing at the time. And the Kinison, well the only thing good about them was that their lead singer had half of a mullet... Right, so you came onto a music site to share that little statement with us? Cheers for that, you fucking moron. Murder By Death is fucking awful. "Somehow though, having to get up at 6 every morning (and be useful) for work left me no chance." i screamed, i cried.... Id go to see foredirelifesake, thats about it. yeah against me! does rock... A I believe it is Luke Perry is gay, get your facts straight. murder by death is fucking awesome. only saw the bled the ptw when i attended this show in pomona, ca at the glasshouse. The bled was alright, I honestly wasnt blown away, the hype around these parts is nuts, but they just didnt do it for me. As for ptw they seem to be worse and worse everytime i see them. since 2000 i have caught them about 7 times, first time with candiria and it was amazing, supporting opposite of december, but since they grow weaker. at the glasshouse they didnt seem to be into it at all. Jeff is growing lazy on vocals.. and doesnt even bother getting into the crowd anymore. for a band like that to bring the energy they should in a live performance is very dissapointing. I caught this tour in Pittsburgh. The Kinison's lead singer was really drunk and obnoxious, but the music wasn't too bad. MBD was amazing; please check these guys out, because they actually have an original sound. I completely agree with the reviewer on The Bled - they're insane. PTW was really tight and the sound quality was superb too. I was also disappointed by the omission of Nerdy from the setlist, as well as Sticks and Stones, but they hit all the good stuff on YCBY, so it was cool. One of the best shows I've been to in awhile. Poison the well...? I can do nothing but shake my head in disappointment. here is what they have to talk about at emotionalpunk.com..... the good ol' days is when Alex from MBD could light his cymbals on fire and vincet could breath fire on stage. i don't see how you could criticize PTW for not playing "nerdy" (last, or at all) -- imagine closing with the SAME FUCKING SONG night after night after night. every time i see them, they play that last, and even i get sick of it after seeing them 4 times. the last time i saw poison the well they had a flawed sound as well, it wasnt them it was whoever was mixing. i wrote a review of it on here. but PTW needs to find someone who can evenly balance their sound, especially since they are on a major label. this score is for murder by death Fordirelifesake is one of the fucking sweetest bands in metalcore today. Booooooooooooooring fordirelifesake fucking owns....that is all. Oh, by the way before anyone corrects my grammar, I would just like to fix that sentence. Definetely would like to see The Bled and Murder By Death, but then again who doesnt. You son of a bitch, I wanted to go to this show bad. Somehow though, having to get up at 6 every morning (and be useful) for work left me no chance. I don't give a flying fuck about any of the other bands, because I knew The Bled would knock dicks in the dirt (or hardwood). Hopefully they come back on a weekend next time, or I develop a coke/no sleep lifestyle. murder by death is amazing that was supposed to be an arrow Ok, fuck the Opposite of December, its a bland boring album. The drumming is fucking amazing but thats about it, I think they have grown leaps and bounds with You Come Before You (Tear From the Red grew on me as well). They actually sound different from the other screamy-singy bands out there right now, a little more sinister, OOD bores the shit out of me, and espectially "nerdy", I don't ever want to hear that fucking song again. The setlist for this poison the well tour has been weird. In Chicago they played almost all of You Come Before You, Bochala, 3 songs off Opposite of December none of which were "nerdy" or artists rendering of...". And they dont seem like they have a set list..its just like they play songs. Its odd. fordirelifesake rocks How the hell did PTW not play Nerdy? murder by death are awe-inspiring. Yes, the Bled is plenty good. murder by death is overrated. people just love them because they have a girl celloist. they didnt do anything for me are so um, is the bled any good? they did play nerdy here in LA. Poison The Well didn't play "Nerdy?" |
