This, the first Extreme Noise Terror record, is a huge exception to most of their discography. An excellent crust band that went the way (just took a bit longer) of fellow pioneers Napalm Death, they've left behind a few great records of their punkier days. I listen to all of these bands...cause they rule. Add in World Burns to Death to that list as well. Some of the best American Punk out there "Punk as in Aus-rotten? Punk as in The Runnamucks? Punk as in Spasm 151?" I think anyone that cant see a punk influence on just about if not everything reviewed on this site does not know what punk is. Okay guy below me....I'll bite. where is the punk on this site anymore? where is the punk on this site anymore? Great stuff. Brings back memories... also pick up the split with chaos uk, you wankers KLF IS GONNA ROCK YOU! Lesser known fact about this band, is that the KLF (yes, the massive, mainstream acid rock one) asked these guys to record a cover of "3am Eternal" and also had them play it at Top of the Pops, consequently getting the performance banned from the BBC. I remember this...shit. Didn't really like it, but it gets a 10 for bringing back memories. 'A Holocuast in your Head'.....nope...dont get it. |
