Bane / Armor For Sleeplive in Chicago (2004)Equal Vision Records Reviewer Rating: User Rating: Contributed by: Minor Threat (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on March 23rd 2004
Arriving at the Chicago date of the Equal Vision Tour about 3 groups late (Silent Drive and Bear Vrs Shark were missed) , I only caught two songs of Alexisonfire, so I can’t comment on their musical style with any reasonable of degree certainty, but I did notice all the performers seemed energized. Also, the lead singer had a slight resemblance to a certain biochemist we all know (and presumably) love, with his black hair, dark thick glasses and white Screeching Weasel shirt worn almost haphazardly. "fuck you douche. if you actually were literate you'd see that i CLEARLY said my reason for disliking bane was that is monotonous as shit... the ugly thing was just and added perk. "There's a non boring version of Park?" There's a non boring version of Park? equal vision made us an offer but we went to drive thru. fuck drive thru. Alexisonfire has more energy live than anybody. I love that band. fuck you douche. if you actually were literate you'd see that i CLEARLY said my reason for disliking bane was that is monotonous as shit... the ugly thing was just and added perk. and alexisonfire isn't fucking repetitive? "i went to this tour when it came enar me, and left before Bane started.... partially due to the fact that the singer has THE most intolerable face in music. " armor for sleep is TERRIBLE. i had the misfortune of seeing them at krazy fest last year. just another band jumping a trend, which has become a sinking ship at this point. bane fucking destroys. the end. how about playing a show in your hometown once in a while, fuckers? Wait, wait, somebody's gotta call you out on this. This review blew major ass chunks. The fireside does have a bar, drink your misery away. The fireside doesn't have that stupid barrier. I could really care less if you have to travel further. seems like a lot of chicago kids...anyone heard of hewhocorrupts or curbstomp? i'm a fan of both bands. Yeah. Take the shows back to the Fireside so we can't drink while listening to bands. The fireside is also good for not being able to see the band while they play. Plus, I live two blocks from the Bottom Lounge. I'd rather travel further. Let's go back to the Fireside. shitty review. alexisonfire was rather impressive. armor for sleep doesn't sound like thrice. BANE was fun, but show left much to be desired. It's definitely alexis on fire. I was at that show and armor for sleep was just not a good pairing for bane. I'm not going to knock them just because I didn't care for them but they made everyone sleepy the drummer from murder by death (alex) told me it is alexis on fire. and i think alex is on fire would be cooler but who cares what i think I can't believe I missed this tour last weekend in Detroit! :< Bane is sweet. Someone likes fractions a lot. the score is for not seeing bear vs. shark Your Review was hilarious, even though you probably didn't mean it to be. The part below sounds like it is from a "How to look Punk" in a teen magazine. Like what are all the cool kids wearing? You crazy kids. one day prior in detroit this show was sold out. unfortunatley most of the crowd was comprised of shaggy haired 15 year olds there to see alexisonfire. Bane puts on one of the best shows I've ever seen regardless of genre. Talent and ingenuity are all second tier to the pure sincerity and amazing energy of Aaron Bedard. Armor for Sleep......Thrice? I know you said lighter, but I'm not seeing it. Whoever wrote this seems like he wants to get "hardcore cred". I assume he has nothing but drive thru record cds and one bane album. | Features
