SpazzCrush Kill Destroy (1999)Slap a Ham Reviewer Rating: User Rating: Contributed by: Ken Fuggit (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on May 7th 2004
The final full-length release by this unholy trio from California. For those who have no idea, Spazz were the undisputed OG's of west coast powerviolence in the 1990's. They took the sound pioneered by bands like Crossed Out and No Comment and added a unique blend of self-referential humor to create a hilarious but brutal genre. Slap a ham releases that are fucking mint: This band fucks each other in the ass after every practice. Fucking trash. If you have this CD light the motherfucker on fire. If you downloaded it, set the fuckin computer on fire too cause it's very likely you've got massive quantites of gay porn all of your fuckin harddrive too. Score's for Slap A Ham, and this band. And their 30-second song on the Fat comp. And this record in general. Because you like phony hardcore? all i have to say is the following: This cd is awesome but I like La Revancha the best. It has a Kool Keith intro, does it get better than that. Anyone remember bands like No Less and deadbodieseverywhere? yeah, the album came out a while ago, but the review was this week. powerviolence is the best style of punk ever. thats right fuck all your hardcore, emo, and so called punk. I said it. "Making fun of emo is the new emo." Spazz was one of the first bands of this type that I actually liked. In one interview, they mention forgetting dozens of their songs because of the profuse number they had and were writing. This band is God-awful! Wow, the guy who gave this 5 stars belongs in a mental ward. I don't know... Most powerviolence bands I know of don't take themselves too seriously. This band is pretty decent, but I think they are more of a novelty to me than other bands like this. Also, do you guys not want my reviews anymore? "Thanks for posting the lyrics, I'll be sure to stay away from this album. Hell yeah, this band is da shit! Thanks for posting the lyrics, I'll be sure to stay away from this album. Mighty Morphin Powerviolence! No way, man; Spock can get laid. Making fun of emo is the new emo. Good album, crappy review. | Features
