Epitaph Records -- Millencolin

As you can see, this could easily be Social D's greatest hits album. It was recorded over three days, and the sound quality is better than any other live punk album I've heard. Social D's song selection for the album is perfect, spanning every album of their 18 year career(in 1998 anyway). The highlights include 'Mommy's Little Monster', which is one of the greatest punk songs of all time,'Bad Luck','Dont Drag Me Down', the best song from "White Light..", and the finale, Johnny Cash's 'Ring of Fire'. Mike Ness's between-song comments are great, solidifying his status as a Punk God. This is the perfect album for the Social Distortion fan who wants all their best songs in one package. It's also perfect for the first time Social Distortion listener. My life won't be complete until I see this band, but this album does a great job of tiding me over. So, what the fuck are you waiting for? Get off your ass and go get the best live punk rock album ever released.

Dude BR already has one. It's called "Tested Live" but its not that recent and not as good.

"Best live punk album ever"? I know it's a bold statement but I think I probably agree. Others come to mind (Face to Face, Strung Out "Live in a Dive") but until Bad Religion records one, Social D will probably retain the title.

words can't describe how good this cd is. ness and the band play all of the classics with 10 times more snarl and aggression than on their studio albums. it's fucking incredible, easily one of my favorite albums of all time. my only complaint is the absence of "sick boy" (one of my favorites) but they apologize for it in the liner notes so i guess it's ok. every punk needs this album.

This is the first punk rock album that I ever bought and the album that got me into punk rock. Fucking incredible. Whenever I hear this album I think about the first time I heard it. Absolutely blew me away. Definitely the greatest punk live album by the best punk rock band of all time.

i can't tell you how right everyone is about this album. I got into Social Distortion through my college roommate last year. He's not really a punk fan, but he likes group like Bad Religion and Social Distortion. I downloaded a bunch of songs then bought this album. From this cd, i have come to the conclusion that this band is the best punk band of all time. That is all.

My first encounter with Social Distortion was through this album and it still has a different feel everytime i hear it. And yes! It is the greatest live-punk-rock-album ever made since none of the Ramones live albums were really, really good. You should all check out Mike Ness' other works too, if you got any background and knowledge to where punk-rock origins from at all. And by the way: Fuck Blink 182 and all other poser-fuckheads!

Good live album, no question. But I think the best live album I've ever heard is Bad Religion's "Tested". I think I'll review it.

Social distortion will always set the standard for punk, all those kids that think even half the shit they listen to is punk havent got a clue. When all the so called punk bands of today are gone and forgotten, social distortion will continue on,and keep doing what they do best, playing no bullshit punk. I saw them live at the el-n-gee in connecticut in 95,nothing better!!
