This is a split EP by 2 of SoCal's best pop punk bands. Homegrown starts it off with a cool fast song called "promise breaker" Then Limbeck turns it around with a catchy tune called "29 times" I really like this EP Its very melodic and catchy from both sides. The weird thing is these 2 bands sound almost identical with limbeck having the more mellow emo type songs. And home grown belting out their typical pop punk surf tunes. This can tide me over until the new homegrown album on drive thru is out. I highly recommend this 6 song EP to fans of SoCal pop punk or any kind of punk in general.

Interesting trivia tidbit - Limbeck was the band in those Apple commercials a few years back playing that song "She's Online" - they were billed as the Garage Monkeys or something absurd like that.

It's been a while since I've heard the Limbeck songs from this one, but I remember being very unimpressed by them (which is why I don't have them anymore). The Home Grown songs aren't anything special or memorable either, but they'll do until the new album comes out.

The fuckwit below me sounds like he's on crack.

the home grown and limbeck songs sound alike on THIS ep! I havent heard limbeck except for this EP and im just judging from this release. Maybe if I had heard limbeck a little more i could judge better. But goddamn at least review the record...and stop talking about how im on crack which im not. I know everyone has their own opinion, so at least review the fucking record and stop bitching about how the person reviewed it.

I have to agree, coldjuly is on crack, the hamegrown songs show remarkable growth as musicians, limbeck is waaaay emo, very alkaline trio but not as good and their songs bore me.

basically, coldjuly has no idea what the fuck he is talking about, am i correct? what kind of lame ass review is that, limbeck and home grown sound absolutely nothing alike...
