Snapcase is one of Victory Records most innovative and unique bands. And a huge driving force in the hardcore scene today. This album was highly successful and gave the band the credit they deserve...Out of the 3 Snapcase albums out today Progression Through Unlearning is by far the hardest most emotional work to date. The album starts off with "caboose" which is one of an awesome song and the most well known from the album. Its main message is to be yourself and as original as you can be..to not have this outer layer.....to be one thing on the inside and project yourself differently on the outside so others will accept you. All in all, every track on this album is just totally amazing! The band has always had very positive lyrics which preach self realization conquering your fears and to not let obstacles stand in the way of your goals, among other issues and hard hitting subjects. This CD also features some great artwork and a video/documentary on the CD..with some history of the band as well as some live footage and interviews with all the band members. If you liked Designs for Automotion and would like to hear a harder side to Snapcase.....I suggest you give this a listen.Despite being one of Victory Records most successful releases to date, I think it will change the way you look at modern hardcore.

    My Score:

Snapcase is great. A bit difficult to differentiate between one song and another, but it all sounds good anyway. And they have some of the best cover art I've ever seen.
