I dunno about this stuff man, it's sorta boring. To tell you the truth it reminds me of a cut rate Belle and Sebastian mixed with that boring new blend of boring music your dad listens to on that boring mix radio station, or at least I know my dad listens to it. You know, the one that plays Crash Test Dummies and Tracy Chapman and Lifehouse and Tori Amos. Or it sounds like a shitty version of a jam band. Like an un-talented Phish without any of the soloing or stuff like that that makes Phish even slightly interesting. Please login or register to post comments. Most of the review actually was copied from the website explaining that this was a limited edition CD. They cut that out, so now the review is weak. wow. I don't even know what to say about this review. You and I spoke a bit about the last review of yours that I read (Coyote Shivers), but this one makes that look like some great work of art. This review is pointless simply put. Why even post this? Just to up the number of reviews on the site or something? There is nothing of merit in this review. I understand that they give you things that you may not like at all, but at least point out what makes something horrible. I have this CD and I must say the Belle & Sebastion comparison is totally off, did you listen to this CD at all? It has an alt-country sound and would be more akin to Son Volt or Uncle Tupleo, with a bit of electronics (ie: keys, not samples). There are traces of Neil Young on this album as well, but I guess he falls into the "dad music" kind of style. If in fact your dad does like this kind of music, he has good taste. jesus christ, when did you guys start running Buddyhead.com reviews? At least the comments made the click worth it. you guys sure like to talk about me though I don't think anyone finds him funny. Am I the only one who thinks jones the bones isn't funny at all? "this is the internet. there is infinite space." "wouldn't it be better to save the space and the effort for something a little more deserving?" by the way. this shit probably does blow horribly. good review YAWN? Dear Punknews.org editors, Jesse, I pity you for constantly getting the shitty cds. |
