Hey, remember the 80s? The neon day-glo t-shirts? Chunky bracelets? The side-ponytail? The lightning stripes? How about Duran Duran and that whole decadent nightlife culture? Frausdots do. And I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. In general, I think bands that emulate a time period that they're not a part of is dumb. But hey, whatevs.

I dont like Wolf eyes, but everyone seems to jock the shit out of them. *sigh* I guess i will never understand some things. Thanks for the recommendations - I wasn't dissing SubPop, it was a genuine question. Comets on Fire, Iron and Wine, Constantines, Wolf Eyes, David Cross…all are amazing groups. Sub Pop is really an awesome label. Is there anything reallyoutstanding on Sub Pop these days? I listened to this record a bunch, and all I could think of after each listen was, "Well, that was nice." Your review is pretty much spot-on. It was a better record. It deserved an actual review. Like I'm going to be an ass ALL the time, sheesh. I've written tons of thoughtful reviews, it's just no one pays any attention to them. Good review, Jesse. It has enough of your patented tomfoolery, and is also very well thought out and explains the music more than you do sometimes. Not be an ass, but yknow. I'm saying I like it. You're a review of Napoleon Dynamite! Kirby, I just saw a commercial for Kidz Bop 7. When's the review coming? WTF?! These guys are so not Bolton!!! | Features
