Romanticore. The band invented the term for themselves, defining their genre only with examples of melancholy situations and things such as “staring at the ceiling,” “sedatives,” and “knowing your ex-girlfriend is happier now.” They also once stated to the press that “we just want to make people sad.” Well, it’s not working, not for me. It’s too good to make me sad.

I love these guys. You should check out their more recent EP, too. It adds an experimantal, noisey dimension to that dreamy thing they do on the debut. According to their website, a new LP is also on the way, and they just played South by Southwest in Austin. Ever read the Senses Fail bio on their website? It's some of the most inflated pompous self propping I've ever read. "At the time Buddy was really into Daoism and his lyrics....What band can fuse metal, punk, pop, and hardcore better than senses fail?" Mentioning Low made me remember that band "The Low Millions" that was on Conan the other night. Anybody see that? It was so bad, I was embarassed for them. Who buys stuff like that anyway? At least their self coined genre is better than the one Senses Fail gave themselves. Homicidecore. Gime me a fucking break low! I agree with lou 100%. Made me go listen to the mp3s and I think i might have to purchase this album from them. very good review. made me want to hear this band. low is good. | Features
