I Bought it cause of that honest mistake song. The rest are good Luv IT! Just great! The New Sound what I was looking for! Waiting for that next album! This is pure gold-start to finish. And no, I'm not a so called "child of the 80s". This is pure gold-start to finish. And no, I'm not a so called "child of the 80s". The braverys album makes you want to get up and dance. The way sam sings is amazing and the beats behinde him are awsome.Rock on!! hahahahaha the bravery r awsome and sam is f-ing awsome!!he has that vibe of morrissey of the smiths and the smiths r awsome the bravery is a good since of music now instead of the same crap! Holy wow. One barely engaging song and ten other steamers? Demerit points for the lyric: "You put the 'art' in retarted." sure they stole the killers' sound, but unlike the killers', these guys actually made a listenable album who wants to bet that the folks who have posted poor reviews/low scores are younger than 30 & have no fuckin experience whatsoever with the original rise of 'alternative' in the 80s. shit, these dolts think nirvana invented the whole genre! i'd also bet these twats have never heard of wire, voivod, or the cramps. who wants to bet that the folks who have posted poor reviews/low scores are younger than 30 & have no fuckin experience whatsoever with the original rise of 'alternative' in the 80s. shit, these dolts think nirvana invented the whole genre! i'd also bet these twats have never heard of wire, voivod, or the cramps. ok cd, but don't even start with the Skabba the Hut shit..I don't get it..what's wrong with ska???? and whoever said that people can't be into different things in different times of their lives....give it a rest folks..and get a life.... Great shit but nothing like the Killers, they have nothin on THE BRAVERY...great sound, super catchy and fun to dance to dance or get wasted to..lol.. Freakin genius, really great 80's sounds revived for today..love it! It would really help if some of you actually described the damn CD instead of using ridiculous analogies (mix the killers w/ a glass of shit?!). Whoever is rotating their video on mtv2 needs to be hung up by his/her balls. This music died and should stay dead. oh hush all u h8rz, kate moss luvs em! :) boring music for boring people. Wait till VCR releases their ep, then we can forget this. Score is for Bratcore by VCR! This does remind me of The killers, i mean yeah i bet there is ppl that like this kinda stuff so i wont bash on it, just not my fav at all...the video is clever though...i will never look at a domino piece the same way again Yeah, Blockbuster doesn't have much stock anymore. They won't stock more than a handful of new games or movies. Gone are the days of new release guarantees & available copies. If this is the new shit, then bring back emo. surely it's worth the 6.99. skip it if it's a penny more. Was there some sort of meeting where we decided that shit like this was allowed to come back? I think I missed that vote. This is not as bad as you all are making it out to be. It's worth the $6.99 at Best Buy. My only 80s psuedo revival what-the-fuck-ever-you-call-it indulgence is The Faint, and that's because they make me want to SHAKE MY GROOVE THING. The Bravery just make me want to shake the lead singer and tell him to shut up. "To the douche du jour who said most don't remember the 80's. I unfortunately did remember that music & it blew then & still does. Not everyone on here is 12 you arrogant prick." I cheched a few song its not bad while yes it does beat all the other news bands that sound like this it still has a way to go... To the douche du jour who said most don't remember the 80's. I unfortunately did remember that music & it blew then & still does. Not everyone on here is 12 you arrogant prick. I can't believe this was posted by someone with a LOC tattoo. For shame. This sounds like a fanboy peeing himself. does anyone else think this review sounds like it was written by an island PR person?? "Hmmmmmmmm what to say, mix the killers with a glass of shit (if thats possible) add a drum machine and a lead singer who wants to be Morrissey and you have this band! I saw this band when I was flipping through channels on MTV. All I could see were a bunch of dudes trying to be The Cure. I don't care who you are, face-paint style makeup is for losers. First off, most of you jerk-offs were in diapers in the 80's the first time, so shut the hell up! What you remember is the mid to late 90's revival of the 80's which was annoying as hell, even to those of us who remember the 80's fondly. Second off, this singer doesn't want to be Morrissey. He clearly wants to be Robert Smith. And third off, this is not a great band or CD. But it is listenable. honestly, 4 stars? you can't really be that stupid. Hmmmmmmmm what to say, mix the killers with a glass of shit (if thats possible) add a drum machine and a lead singer who wants to be Morrissey and you have this band! All I've heard is thst song "Honest Mistake", and I'm not impressed. This band blows! I hated the 80's the 1st time around. I hope these guys choke on aspargus spears. can none of you assholes see through this shit? I agree with the comments below, the Bloc party cd owns to the nth. Wanna check this out to Hmmm. Say what you will about this band but their video is fucking brilliant... I never knew dominoes could be so cool. I liked the single, "Unconditional" a lot, but the rest of the album is weak as all hell. i think the early 2000's are gonna go down as the worse period for music. does every band have to suck? The music is boring, but I'm giving it 3 stars, because this band is so fucking pretty it's ridiculous. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Bravery form about a year ago? I'm pretty sure the Killers were around before that because I saw them as an opening act a couple of times. Your first paragraph is poop. The video for "Honest Mistake" is awesome though. if this is the best ny can give us Boring I'd heard of Brandon Flowers a looooong time ago. Way before The Killers. So you lied. dischord should sue this band for using the name of such an awesome band for a shitty song. i said bravery wouldnt have a record without the killers...but that is misleading.....niether would have a record without the 80's bands they all rip off so hard Dataclast would eat these toddlers for breakfast. I think that Bloc Party is a tad overrated. So I went to Blockbuster to rent MVP 2005, Tekken 5, and God of War, and they didn't have any of them. But half a year later, they still have 356 copies of San Andreas. score is for MVP 2005 Do yourself a favor and listen to Bloc Party. "And yet, The Bravery is an accomplished and exciting crossover record that is so 2005 it hurts, and is actually better than the Killers' Hot Fuss. " Fuck scott and what he thinks, i actually dig this well worth a pick up-oldpunker- Brandon from The Killers even said that "The Bravery wouldn't be big if we weren't around" because they sound pretty similar. "almost classic first single" play MVP 2005 and you'll hear how badly they suck the only reason this band has a record is the killers....that is not a good thing. A bold claim saying this is better than the Killers, and if you take out the song hot pursuit, I would agree with it. The video for an honest mistake is pretty creative too. Solid cd. Long live the Mitch Hedberg The lead singer was originally in a band called Skabba the Hutt. all hype and no substance. sorry fanboy, i'll pass on the nu wave. Score is for the complete lack of reviews by Jesse today. zzzZZzzzzzzZZZZzZZZZzzzzzZZZZZzzZZ Anyway else think the singer looks like Shiflett from the Foo's? The hook in the chorus for that current single is amazing, but it can't save the song, nor can it warrant the existence of another new new wave band. Shit sandwich. See AP 201's New Releases section to see what I thought of this CD. Nope. I got a sampler of this and it was the most uninspired, boring thing to come out of this new wave (pun fully intended) of bands. |
