I don't know if this was released before or after the arrogant dudes in No Warning started hanging out with fellow Canadians Sum 41 or their newfound mentors in Linkin Park, but with the release of Suffer, Survive, it's clearly evident that both bands have had a serious influence on them, and, unless you've been living under a rock for the past 10 years, it's not considered a good thing.

If you're familiar with No Warning, particularly the Ill Blood era, you'll probably think I'm lying when I say that when I picked it up this very afternoon, and put it in my nü-metal-head friend's car stereo, she looked at me with a big smile on her face and asked me if this was the new Linkin Park album. It's THAT similar...no fucking exaggerating. I knew it wasn't going to work out between me and Suffer, Survive when she said that to me, and with every listen I graced this pile of rubbish with after that, I can only picture Chester Bennington singing this trash in front of some floor-punching teenagers wearing bandanas on their faces.

Wait... I take that back. No one with a decent taste for hardcore... no, rock music, for that matter, would enjoy dancing to this.

And it's all a major bummer, because I really enjoyed the Ill Blood album, particularly the very moshable songs "Short Fuse" and "Over My Shoulder," but what No Warning has done on this new record is simply inexcusable. Suffer, Survive is not only the epitome of a punk act "selling out," but is also the best evidence of the theft of hardcore by the MTV Headbanger's Ball scene. No chants. No mosh parts. No technical instrumentation whatsoever. It's exactly what my first paragraph depicts it as: a mix of the pop-punkiness and mindless strumming of Sum 41, the all-around vocal and writing techniques and chugga-chugga guitar work of Linkin Park, with a wee glimmer of the hardcore band No Warning used to be, having some pretty rad fast metal riffs and hooks here and there, but even then, still too far and few between.

The only song worth even listening to is the opening track, "Dirtier Than The Next," which is nothing but a fucking tease for us kids thiking this to be a decent major-label hardcore release for a change. It psyches you out for what you have a feeling is going to be a heavy hardcore LP, but they pretty much spit and laugh in your face for the remaining 9 tracks. Remember Eighteen Visions' Obsession album? Remember how disappointed the Until The Ink Runs Out fans were? Now, multiply that by five. Have you thrown up yet?

Save your money and buy Paint It Black's Paradise release that just came out and is blowing us true hardcore punk fans away, not rubbish like Suffer, Survive that's pushing us away.

This band has nothing to do with linking park and shit like that, dude, so clean your ears at least once a week.

i dont know what everyone says about NO WARNING they at least have the guts to get on stage a bad timing is a good song its not even close to linkin park so fuck yall!!

First of all the cd isn't on Warner...its on a sub label of Warner and no its not the same thing. 2nd this cd is the worst pile of shit and I can't believe its No warning. To the little retard with the yellowcard shirt on who said the other stuff this band has released sucks too. Then you have no clue what your talking about. go listen to your live in a dive albums

Ok, so I probably got it wrong, but its pretty much a major, especially compared to BRIDGE NINE that they used to be on. Being on a label that is owned by Mike Shinoda (might be wrong actually) is pretty much the same shit, right?

I have a couple things to say.
1) YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE
2) They don't sound anything like Linkin Park.
Do they sound like Sum 41 yes, Linkin Park no.
Why are you a hypocrite? Because you pretty much bash them for hanging out with the likes of Linkin Park and Sum 41, yet when you listened to it for the first time you were with your "nu-metal" friend? dude, c'mon. you give them shit for being involved with a nu-metal band, but your licking the tits of a nu-metal fan. stop reviewing albums and be a priest, you'd fit right in.

1) I'm not allowed to have friends who like shitty music? this is exactly what is killing the independant music scene: HATERS LIKE YOU. You come here, talk your shit, preach to everybody about what kind of music is OK to like, and what isn't. I bashed Linkin park and Sum 41 cuz they suck, not because their genres suck. Huge difference pal.

2) the vocals sound almost exactly liek CHester from Linkin Park, but what would you know? you don't associate yourself with anything outside of your petty little scene, or thats the way you make it seem, but youre also the only guy here who doesnt agree that they sound like both bands.

Sure, I trashed talked SUFFER, SURVIVE quite a bit, but like I was trying to say before, it'd have to be completely unbearable to be 3 or under out of 10. Like, put this CD on at a party, I'll cringe. I'd give it a 4. You'd have to make me want to leave the party to get, say, a 2.

I thought the first song was pretty rad so I gave it maybe a little more than what I should have. But it wasnt like it was unbearable. For example, I would give the last AFI full length a 3, and to me "Suffer, Survive" isnt ad bad as that.

Haha, it was even worse when my friend who likes good charlotte and sum41 told me "OMG I LOVE NO WARNING", then i burst out laughing.

They're old stuff was pretty decent, this however is total crap.

If you register for their website (which you MUST do to even look at the fucking thing), they'll send you a huge package of 2 song CDs (about 30), a wad of stickers (about 50) and a load of posters (probably 20) from LA (I live in Canada).

All of which I immediately threw in the garbage.

If you wanna bankrupt this band, register on their website and toss the shit they send you.

It's not as good as the 7" or Ill Blood but this ain't complete shit. Most of the songs are kinda good but the slower parts and clear singing parts ruin almost all songs.

I feel like it's something obvious and its whooshing right over my head whenever I see it, but all I can ever see is the gas-masked DJ guy from Slipknot. *shrug*

It's funny, cause that hopeless case song they had streaming on their website sounds EXACTLY like a mix between earlier linkin park and latter day sum 41. Both vocally, melodically and musically. And let's face it, if you're 14 this shit kicks ass.

this record is absolute junk. i wanted to like it. i tried to like it. but itll never, ever happen. such a terrible step back from ill blood, which is fuckin great.

now on to the tour with papa roach and more writing about being drunk on the website. so sad. and pathetic.

And yet you gave it a 4. Keep in mind that a 5 should denote an average album (one that you don't necessarily like, but isn't too bad either). You went way too easy on these chumps.
