I think that it’s safe to say, for even the average listener, no artist in the last 20 years has had as much of in impact on the musical landscape as Gerardo, and his 1991 single that should adorn the #1 spot on best of the century lists everywhere, “Rico Suave.” His musical contributions will be just as apparent with our grandchildren as they are with us, and we can only hope to attain half the level of greatness that he bestowed on the world. While Gerardo’s musical genius never attained the level of success again that he found with “Rico Suave,” rock band 25 Suaves are leading the crusade in Gerardo awareness, with their White Stripes-like, 2-piece husband and wife approach.

Why listen to Italain Music when you could eat Italian Music... I saw these fine folks open up for the kalamazoo precinct of women wrestlers a few years ago. This band has more energy and stage presence than just about every pop-punk band I have ever seen. The guitar player looks like murdoch from the a-team and he ran around the stage totally rocking out and knocking things over. totally great. Anchors, weren't you about 4 years old in 1991? Get your own sense of humor, leave Gerardo to the people that actually remember it. Mmkay, thanks. The White Stripes comparison is because it's a husband and wife tandem, and while a two piece isn't all that out of the ordinary, the husband and wife factor is. anything that makes BSD cry would fine by me. anyway, not to suck up, but keep up the good work, you're one of the best reviewers on the site. Why must EVERY two peice band be compared to the White Stripes? You're either a lazy reviewer or just stupid. Haha man, I wouldn't want to see 10 of my own reviews on here at a time, and I'm the one writing them. there should be a question mark there *points down* so, anchors, for the 3rd week in a row i ask; when are they just gonna let you do every review, instead of just half. haha. anchors that was fuckin exactly what was goin through my mind as i typed all these. he is HILARIOUS. That reminds me of Brian Regans bit about laziness, Jones. With the peanut butter and jelly in one jar. That bit was clutch. no offense anchors, but i dont want to read all kinds of words and shit onslauhgt of bands i dont know |
