If you don't know this band you are truly missing something. The immense energy these 5 Swedish people put in their music is trult unbelievable. To download the track "I Hate to Say I Told You So" and learn more about them visit this site...

This record is truly one of the best punk/rock & roll/whatever kind of music ever released... Listen to Hate to say i told you so and you'll be hooked... Believe me... It's no use to explain how good this album is, just download the track I mentioned... You won't be sorry, I promise.

To describe their music I'll quote the official website: "The sound of the hives is, like a velvet glove with brass knuckles, both brutal and sophisticated at the same time. The music is based on youth, energy, taste, and a bag of tricks borrowed from 50´s rock and roll, 60´s garage rock, 70´s punk rock and new wave and everything after. All this is then molded into a sound that is approximately 100% the Hives. PUNKROCK MUSIC AVEC KABOOM." And that's just true!

The lead singer Howlin' Pelle sounds sorta like Little Richards (tutti frutti, keep on knockin'), just beautiful. The band acts like (they probably don't think)they are the best band in the the whole goddamn world... Fake cockyness and glamrock without the glam... On a festival where they were the closing act and bands like Limp Bizkit for example played singer Pelle got on stage and said : "The Hives would like to thank the bands who played here these three days for warming up the crowd for us." That's just awesome...

Again sweden can be proud (after millencolin), and this proves Europe has some talent... Yezz Americans, The Hives'll blow you minds...

This is really one major rockin' record!

Randy is also from Sweden. If you don't like Randy, you got problems.

they kinda fell off pretty fast huh? I for one am glad because seeing teenage girls who like shit like Three 6 Mafia listening to bands like The Hives turns my stomach. 4 years ago they'd have gotten 1 star because I was that pissed at the trendcore kids. now I can be more open-minded

As said earlier, best thing to happen to punk rock in a long time.

The Hives (my new favorite band) is the best thing to happen to punk in years. Its a shame the US is so behind in music.
