Lingua FrancaGrand Piano (2005)Acutest Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: Anchors (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on August 19th 2005
On my very, very long list of “things to do someday,” there are certain things that will more than likely never appear. Among those, one would find such entries as listening to an entire Toby Keith album, spending 75 bucks on a pair of pants from Abercrombie & Fitch, or seeing a Broadway musical. I’ve heard some great things about them, but really, it’s not something that I think could actually hold my interest. That said, I find it surprising that Lingua Franca’s Grand Piano seems to present itself much like a musical, but it's actually very compelling.

i'd say really this is one of the only good bands in flint, may/june was a little better though. This band has always been shit, even when they were may/june. People in Flint always assume that different = better, and they're typically wrong. That's the midwest for ya. There's nothing spectacular here, just a change of pace from the Norma Jean knockoffs that ruined the Michigan scene a few years back. If you have to listen to crap, try the Old 97's, at least they're slightly amusing. their 2 song ep was amazing but then they were really bad the couple of times i've seen them live. amazingly nice guys though. i'll check it out based on the goodness of the ep | Features
