Since no one else submitted a review for this album, I took it upon myself to write one. The first time I heard this band it was the song "Unsung Zero" on the soundtrack for a BMX video. I immediately wanted to hear more. It was just a driving, emotional punk song which is exactly what I am into. I picked up this record and was immediately hooked. The album carries a good pace throughout. This band has been compared to Hot Water Music a lot. It is true that they do sound a lot alike, but I like this better than anything I've heard from HWM. I am a HWM fan but I sometimes find their albums to be somewhat draining. HWM records seem slow paced to me, and I find it hard to listen to a whole album. They just start to lag on for me. Thats why I like this band so much. They play the same emotional music but the pace doesn't let up. It's solid from start to finish. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that this band is like Hot Water Music just faster. And for me faster=better. My favorite tracks are, "Like a Future with No Friend", "Sleeping Weather", and "Unsung Zero". This is my first ever review so take it easy on me. actually, you aren't the first to review this album. That's Ok, second opinions are always good, it's the 3rd and 4th ones that get annoying. Anyway, the first review didn't do this album justice, it rocks. I fuckin love this album. Hey people, here's a tip. When you review an album strictly leave it to that! I love this album...very different than the shit you normally hear. Ahhh our own wars is a little better....but a kick ass album nonetheless. faster=better |
