Tonight was a special night for the people in Cincinnati, as the Queers were playing a special one-off show to get ready for their double stay at Bernie's in Columbus to record their live album in 2 weeks (even being joined by original singer Wimpy for a set of all the old songs).

hahahaha hey check out myspace.com/blacktiebombers PUNXORS!!!! thank you all for the kind words, and the unkind words. the fact that people are either excited that we exist or hate it, you still know who we are. ricky thomas has the biggest dick of any one i know I would not be suprised if Rick Thomas did write this review, since half the review is a run on sentence. I read that shit from the Queers' website about the band's gear being confiscated at a show in Heflin, Alabama by the constable on the charge of selling it without a business license? Louisville is a great scene for "hardcore". But, thats if youre into that kinda thing. I'd rather see the queers play 4 times a year here then going down to that shithole and watching Underoath and Emanuel fondle each other. But i wish cincy still drew as well as we used to back in the day. Uh, shit. Sorry to derail the comments like that. I make one observation, and anonymous poster assholery takes over completely. So, what are the odds that people will stop posting anonymously when they do nothing constructive, but instead only talk shit? I appreciate the muted (yet still somehow positive) review. Louisville's music might be great but me and pHDecontrol had a very unwelcoming experience in Louisville...you kids are cock suckers. "the fat lead singer is full of himself, and his voice sucks. he should stop (insert any verb here). cincinnati is a shithole for music there is no scene there anymore. louisville is where its at now face it" the fat lead singer is full of himself, and his voice sucks. he should stop (insert any verb here). cincinnati is a shithole for music there is no scene there anymore. louisville is where its at now face it the reviewer is in a band. that band has a member in it who is in a side project with the singer of BTB. they are good friends. Woo! finally some Cincinnati talk that doesnt involve Bottom Line. BTB are alright, definately good for the scene. Is the dude who reviewed this THE Ricky Thomas of Jimjon Ct. Fame? Oh Hail TANC! the reviewer is in a band. that band has a member in it who is in a side project with the singer of BTB. they are good friends. Hey, whats up ya. This is Sam from Black Tie Bombers. I wanna thank the reviewer for the kind words, it means alot. You kids are hella retarded. "wanna know whats funny? i know the reviewer, he is from cincinnati and he's friends with the black tie bombers... this is absolutely a face. and the black tie bombers arent shit, theyre fucking over rated lawrence arms wanna be's... if the reviewer "wasnt that famiiar" how would he know about the "political undertones" of the bands lyrics? from hearing them live once? hahahahahha. nice try" the btb aren't good per se, there just isn't anything about them that sucks. wanna know whats funny? i know the reviewer, he is from cincinnati and he's friends with the black tie bombers... this is absolutely a face. and the black tie bombers arent shit, theyre fucking over rated lawrence arms wanna be's... if the reviewer "wasnt that famiiar" how would he know about the "political undertones" of the bands lyrics? from hearing them live once? hahahahahha. nice try this show was awesome and the black tie bombers are really good "do the black tie bombers ever leave cincinatti, or do they just play their own hometown over and over I won't listen to the Black Tie Bombers or the AKA's on the basis of their spammage. Ha ha ha... Bill Hicks rules too! Ricky(Thomas) No I understand, I didn't mean the equal coverage, the Queers definetly were the highlight of the night and one of my favorite bands. It was just nice to see 3 good opening bands, they were all pretty good. Ok, fair enough. I just haven't heard of them at all outside of this site, for all I know they could be as small time as any of the purevolume bands that anon posters occassionally spam every active thread with. And here they go getting as much coverage as The Queers. But I buy that story, so my apologies for the assumption. I posted this review because it was a good show, yes it was my first review and I will be sending more in for next week, I just wanted to try it. I don't live in Cincinnati I actually live closer to Dayton but frequent shows in Cincinnati, and I don't think I fluffed up the black tie bombers too much at all, I went to see the queers, had seen the black tie bombers before, and they had gotten much better and impressed me. I don't know them personally and the only words i've ever spoken to any of them was a "good set" after the show to one of their singers. This was a great show all around, and the Queers are one of my favorite bands and I figured alot of people on this site would be into them. actually, I don't even know who this guy is, so I'm going to say no, he doesn't actually know them. Then again, I could be wrong, but he isn't a friend of theirs that they hang out with. I don't know him. This may be slightly cynical, but did the reviewer only submit this to promote Black Tie Bombers? I remember someone occassionally dropping a link to the bands myspace page in their signature. This is the only review this guy has done, and he gave as much space to BTB, a relatively unknown band, as to the Queers. I can't help but wonder if he is connected to the band and wanted a more visible way to get exposure for them. do the black tie bombers ever leave cincinatti, or do they just play their own hometown over and over Especially since they haven't put out a good album since their last live record... How many live albums do the Queers really need? I know they're big fans of the Ramones, but this is ridiculous... holy shit, i didnt even know the queers were still around. Grow Up is still one of my favorite albums do the black tie bombers ever leave cincinatti, or do they just play their own hometown over and over I'd like to see a review of the G7 sampler. Although I already own it, and I know it's fantastic. But I think Adam had said he was working on it, but still no sign of it. Also, it took a while for the dropkick murphys singles collection volume 2 to come up. So I agree with the guy about the lag in reviews being put up. Nice the Queers are coming over here soon for example what album is just in dire need of a review posting? this was a great show. i'm friends with the Black Tie Bombers, but that doesn't mean i won't criticize their music. and my criticism is that they're just getting better and better as time goes on. i'm thinking their next album will definitely get them signed. i'm not a person to hype, but these guys really work to get themselves out there. check them out if you like stuff along the lines of Dillinger Four. My band is playing with the queers in october im super exited I love the Queers. I love the whole early 90's Lookout sound. Long live it man. |
