What can be said about Less Than Jake's second EP (not including losers/kings) other than it is a pure punk/ska masterpeice.

The album starts off with a hidden spoken track, which blasts its way into 16 flawless anthems. two of the songs are rerecorded versions of songs that appeared on their first effort, Pezcore. The album contains one 'toned down' song, 'Dopeman,' which some consider LTJ's best song to date.

The album goes out with a bang at number 15, my personal favorite, which transitions smoothly into 'Lockdown.'

What more can be said other than that this album is a must own for any punk/ska fan. Buy this and 'Hello Rockview.'

this album is my personal favorite. when i think of ska as its more modern form, this comes to mind. i freaking love "how's my driving doug hastings?". This stuff just cheers the shit outta me.

And also? What a crap review.

    miff (September 19, 2006)

good advice about getting hello rockview also
i got both at one time in ine case how fantabulous

    Dude below me:

Not to be one of "those guys," but there's nothing ska about Jen Doesn't Like Me Anymore. Just sayin.

Also, this is one of my all-time favorite albums, and this review does not do it justice. How can an album go out with a bang if there's another song left? And if it's your favorite, why the fuck didn't you know the title of it? I know this is Less Than Jake we're talking about, but you could have at least grabbed the CD case to see that track 15 was titled Rock-n-Roll Pizzeria.

    Worst. Review. Ever.

this, the suicide machines destruction by definition, reel big fish's turn the radio off, and goldfingers self titled album were the best albums in the ska punk scene 10 years ago. dopeman, automatic, and jen doesnt like me anymore are some of the ska punk songs ever made, and less than jake should be considered gods for making such a perfect album.

    pasha (November 2, 2005)

one of the greatest ska-punk albums ever...

i wouldnt say this is LTJ best cd because although most bands older cds take the gold medal, i think LTJ have grown nicely without disowning what they originally set out to do, this cd however is a gud way to remember just exactly what LTJ is all about, 16 tracks of less than jake has to be good!

ballsack doesnt taste as good as i originally expected

Note to reviewer, learn the difference between an ep and an lp!

This cd is by far the best less than jake cd that there is. Every song on this cd is amazing much like every other less than jake song, but this one has something that the otheres don't. Get it and then go and see them live.

    FAKESMILE (October 20, 2001)

Their best, I think... I saw them live... I enjoyed myself... Lockdown is a stunning track... Fast!!!! Less Than Jake is the best!!!! Pietasters play good ska too though!

    sXe_nick (August 9, 2001)

I love less than jake. and this cd is by far their best. BUT i think you should ahve done a better job reviewing this cd b/c it is a complete masterpiece.

This and Hello Rockview are the only two LTJ releases I like, well, the Greased CD is a funny novelty. I like songs off of the other CDs, but for the most part, I find stuff like Borders and Boundries and Pezcore pretty boring.

This is a great album, full of ska-core at its finest. I think it's just behind Pezzcore, after Losing Streak was released they began a rapid decent downhill. I was very disappointed with their two releases following this album.

This review really sucks it doesn't tell anyone who hasn't heard the album anything about it. Put more effort into it next time, this is crap. By the way this album kicks ass.

    Anonymous (August 8, 2001)

I don't think this album sounds "raw" at all. If you want a "raw" LTJ album check out "Losers, Kings...." or the best LTJ album ever, "Pezcore"....sickboi

    Josip (August 8, 2001)

hey, borders and boundaries is good, it will grow on you if you give it a chance...but am i the only one who thinks that this review sucks? i've heard this record at least 500 times, so i know how it sounds, but i wouldnt be interested in this record after that review...

    guitarer1c2 (August 8, 2001)

Sorry dude, Borders and Boundaries is anything but lackluster. The songs, production, vocals, and horns are ALL amazing. LTJ improve with every album and Borders was no exception. Losing Streak is awesome but their newer records are far better (in my opinion).

    myboxersarepunkerthanu (August 8, 2001)

well you CAN go wrong with a ltj album if the album happens to be the lackluster Borders and Boundaries. But you sure as hell won't be making a mistake by picking this one up!

    Anonymous (August 7, 2001)

This is not an EP Its an LP

    Anonymous (August 7, 2001)

Right on! This album is so full of the fun that LTJ is all about. Definitely a solid punk/ska album; however, if you dig more polished, better produced songs I suggest you pick up "Hello Rockview." This is a little raw, but hey.....I love it! It's hard to go wrong with a Less than Jake cd.
