Formed in 2003, this band coming from St-Jean-sur-Richelieu (a small town outside of Montreal, Canada) decided to practice their compositions for almost a year before doing any shows. This young band has a lot of experience onstage and has members who used to play in other groups that disbanded.

This band mixes many musical styles while offering coherent emo rock with some hardcore influence. What sets them apart from other bands is the intelligent yet timid use of keyboard which gives the band a different and refreshing twist. Their sound won’t revolutionize anything, but it is a nice addition to a genre plagued with clichés.

Frank Joly (who did albums for major Quebec punk bands) produced this EP and it really shows. The production quality is impeccable, although we could hear the singer’s voice a bit better when he’s screaming (maybe this was wanted...). Guitars are loud and very effective while being harmonious.

This isn’t a breakthrough EP, but at the same time, an excellent album. You have to keep in mind that this is the first production of a young band (all members of the band are between 18 and 21 years old). Influences can be easily heard throughout the EP without being copied.

This band shows really good evolution possibilities and will be one to watch in the future. I recommend this album to people who prefer a lighter sound with intensity and catchy songs. You can listen to songs on their EP if you visit their website.
