The metalcore trend has really been hopping for a couple years now, and rightfully so, there’s been a backlash against it. People are pissed off about shitty bands that have no metal influences from earlier than 2001 and are just riding the coattails of much better bands clearing the path for them. Out of this huge sea of bands, there are a few that actually rise above the crap, and write some amazing music, doing it their own way.

Scars of Tomorrow > Norma Jean i like the album the ones that think norm jean are horrible are over the age of 40 and listen to country music, believe me i would know! Nroma Jean are horrible. crazytoledo , if think that Norma Jean suck than you have no you have no business reviewing harcore music, or any music for that matter, darkest hour put out the abum of the year and are the best band on victory now and could contend for the best band on victory ever (cept refused was on victory back in the day)... this band isn't half as wretched as darkest hour. some of their stuff is pretty nifty. norma jean Score is for the refereince of Alex from Atreyu vocally throwing up. Fabulous! gay. NORMA JEANS!!! "I haven't heard this album yet but this is a crappy review. Why would I take a review seriously from someone who obviously doesn't even LIKE the genre of music he's reviewing? I wouldn't ask a classical buff to review a punk record..." I haven't heard this album yet but this is a crappy review. Why would I take a review seriously from someone who obviously doesn't even LIKE the genre of music he's reviewing? I wouldn't ask a classical buff to review a punk record... i really like metal, but i sure do hate shit like this. Crazy Toledo, you're 0/2 for correctly using the word ironically in this thread. http://punknews.org/reviews.php?op=albumreview&id=2701 What a name. I Like Scars of Tomorrow. Actualy I love metalcore in general. Screw you guys. To the guy below me, Fiddy cent raps that song "Wanksta." Reminds me of the metalcore kids. Most average band ever to the dude that said unearth: well done, they are awesome and what most metalcore bands try to be like. Metalcore can be good. Unearth, basically. These guys are fucking atrocious. Zero stars. Ironically SOT have been around for a few years, I'm pretty sure this is their 4th full length and 2nd on Victory... Dude, this is actually pretty good. Really similar to their previous work and it isn't angsty whiny singing when it's clean. to the guy below me: Come on, a three? This is no better than a one. |
