Now, as you can see by the title, this isn’t your standard concert review. A little back story, if you will.

heLLo green day oh and Mr. "Will" they didnt sell out idiot, they wrote a song talking about bands that do "walking contradiction" they're still here and goin into studio soon to record follow up to american idiot. so blah ha, so make love to ur fall out boy cd or whatever u like ruin punk?? fuckin idiot. they're the FIRST band to start punk then these new gay ass bands are ruining it, like for example, gay ass fall out boy and simple plan. rolling stones play their own music. umm so does green day. the fact they need 3 to 4 or more extra people shows the talent they have. see, green day is the only band, unless u include blink, but they arent all that good in reality, where there is 3 members, most bands have two guitarists. billie joe writes rh. and lead parts, he does it all. kinda hard to do two at once dont u think?? lets get the facts straight. green day has been a band now for 17 years, not much longer than "metallica" who is great too, but at same time can really suck and be full of themselves just cuz they do "fast riffs" arent u cool. write american idiot than ill give u a prize. anyways, their shows we're spec, thie tour was over a year, and well they are all thats been talked about since 2004, havent heard much about anyone else, no "metal" bands, no rap faggots, or others. people just need to except it and realize their favorite "bands" just couldnt do it. if you dont like bullet in a bible then you dont like green day at all. " Even the fucking Rolling Stones play their own music." Any band that records a song like Desensitized and then doesn't put it on the album deserves to have their eyeballs gouged out with a rusty screwdriver. There seems to be some confusion as to whether we should like this band more or less now. I thought I'd lay out the arguments on either side of the argument. The best thing Green Day ever recorded was an interview with the radio show, Modern Rock Live, in about 1997. It's a gem - get a hold of it, if you can. Okay. Jason White has been a touring guitarist (something MANY bands have) for Green Day for many years now. He was in Pinhead Gunpowder with Billie Joe, and he was in the Influents, a band on Adeline Records, Billie Joe's record. They're good friends, so Green Day isn't just "dicking" Jason around. Get your fucking facts straight. Jason White has been regularly part of the band since the start of the AI tour and that's about it. what, no basket-case? I'd suck Billie Joe's dick any day of the week here, but I think we're all approaching a "Metallica moment" here, when the hardcore fans begin to realize that this band now embodies everything it was supposed to be fighting against. Jason White has been regularly part of the band since the start of the AI tour and that's about it. Occasionally, they'd have the roadie or some dude in a "Fetish" T-shirt play a few parts while Billie jumped around, but to have a fully fledged "ghost" member is unprecedented. Remember, this happened to Nirvana too. What did they do? Added the fucking fourth member! Green Day won't fucking add the fourth member b/c they're selfish brats and enjoy dicking Jason White around. They look like absolute assholes. Even the fucking Rolling Stones play their own music. they're not "mystery dudes", they played on the album and billie joe introduces them to the crowd every show. jason white has been playing with them for years... i think when your big enough that you can have a second guitarist on stage and people still call you a three peice, things are getting wierd. the score is supposed to be five stars. sorry, new poster. "i saw green day 10 years ago on the insomniac tour too. they played "Misery"!!! you lucky son of a bitch. i hope for their next tour, they make it more like the Warning tour and play a lot of old songs and take requests. the American Idiot tour was cool and all, but i wanted to hear old-school Green Day :) That being said, kudos to them for playing "Who wrote Holden Caulfield" live. They need to stop covering "I Fought The Law". Expecially because they have recently become jokes. i saw green day 10 years ago on the insomniac tour too. You're one lucky sonofabitch! oh yeah, you need two guitarists to play longview. what a joke. wow....that setlist just blows away each time i saw them on the American Idiot tour (3 times!!) jeez, how come those songs didn't make it on the tour?? what the fuck, guys???? I got really excited after reading this review. I read it right before I went to work and it made me listen to Kerplunk on the way. I can't wait to see this show on FUSE. If you dont like green day then whatever... but they're not responsible for the shitty acts that try following in their footsteps. And stop caling them sellouts. Chances are you probably dont even know what that means. why wont green day just go away.. fuck sake "I don't think I want to know what you had to do..." That show sounds absolutely awesome. Score is for this show Green Day - live at FUSE Studios i fucking hate that "time of your life" song "TRL is a hoax! The girls you see holding signs that say "MARRY ME!" are actually being paid $25 to do that" Cool setlist. I've never seen Green Day live, and as much as I love their albums, I really haven't been too interested in seeing them recently, mainly because their setlists have been looking pretty mediocre. But then, I tend to like their songs that weren't released as singles better than those that were, and most of their mainstream audience probably doesn't want to see them play those. but, of course, you don't have an argument against it i can't believe none of you guys realize how funny all the "hey-o"s and yelling the name of the city they're in is. if he did it just once or twice during the show, i'd take it as usual rock star bullshit, but the fact that he does it SO MUCH only proves that he's mocking arena rock bands at the same time that he's being a better arena rock frontman than anyone else right now. Green Day - live at FUSE Studios I'm still amazed that they played "Going To Pasalacqua." That was the song that completely sold me on Green Day. Back in 1994, I already owned Dookie, but then I saw their concert from the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on MTV, and they played that song. As soon as they finished, I knew I had to find the record that song was from. I need to go listen to it right now, frankly. i can't believe none of you guys realize how funny all the "hey-o"s and yelling the name of the city they're in is. if he did it just once or twice during the show, i'd take it as usual rock star bullshit, but the fact that he does it SO MUCH only proves that he's mocking arena rock bands at the same time that he's being a better arena rock frontman than anyone else right now. Green Day sold out a long time ago and there's no end in sight. Fuck this band. "As for the flamebait post, those shitty pop-punk bands didn't start until blink-182 hit it big. Even if Green Day was completely responsible for all of them, what does that matter? They're still one of the only consistently good bands still around." TRL is a hoax! The girls you see holding signs that say "MARRY ME!" are actually being paid $25 to do that. When he was asking for requests I repeatedly yelled Panic Song, but to no avail. That song would be fucking amazing live. Green day is the band that started to ruin punk. Thanks to their fricken dookie album a bunch of other mainstream fag ass pop punk bands started to form!!! it's so funny that the name of the album that started this mainstream punk shit was named "dookie" because that's what it is!!!!! Holy fucking fuck machine, they played Misery?!? That setlist was good, but here is how you can make it better. Oh, I forgot to mention a couple other gems from this show I want to hear them play F.O.D. hobbitcore: what companies have used American Idiot songs for advertising? i'm jealous. are they still using the same rehearsed in between song banter? crap i was using that setlist for reference and i forgot to delete it holy christ how come they couldn't play that set list on the tour with JEW (or the "second leg" of the American Idiot tour)...Welcome to Paradise. Letterbomb, I Fought the Law, MISERY, CLOSING WITH HOMECOMING, THREE PRE-DOOKIE SONGS...i got the same exact setlist both fucking times I saw them...so wack...they're good performers for an arena rock band I guess but that rock star bullshit sucks, especially for a band that used to play Gilman...they didn't sell out by signing to a major label...they sold out when they went with the pyro, heeey-ohs, 1-2-1-2-3-4s, and "NAME OF CITYYYYYYYYYYYY"s...oh and when they sold every fucking song on their "punk rock opera" to every fucking company that asked. have some artistic integrity for christ's sake. Okay, seriously, I got a boner looking at that setlist. I have to go take a shower now. I happen to enjoy Superdudes template.... but anyway... people need to stop with this crap-> This review was pretty good, but here's how I would make it beter: I keep hearing about them playing old songs and shit now.. man. The only comfort I have now is a video bootleg from 1991 where they introduce Welcome To Paradise as "a new song". This show sounded great. score is for that dude knowing "I fought the law" was a Crickets song. score is for that dude knowing "I fought the law" was a Crickets song. Score is for Green Day not playing the same set they've been playing for the last year and a half. Nice review. Sounds like an amazing experience. score is for dookie and insomniac My favorite green day song is '80'. "i fought the law is a clash song wait - was this whole thing about your mastubatory experience of being let into a tv show taping? I wasn't literally asking where "I Fought the Law" came from originally, I was referring to its place within the set list. It was awesome to hear live, it's definitely one of the last things I'd expect them to play. I would definately sit through the shit that is American Idiot to see going to Pasalacqa and Christie Road holy shit that sounds awesome..... since it's fuse, they fuckign taped it right? i mean, there's a chance we'll get to at least see a soundboard recording of those kerplunk songs live? greenerton... you must be in the punknews audioscrobblation group. I'd kill to see Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? live. Score is for Green Day actually doing something spontaneous while playing live. Bobby Fuller Four. i fought the law is a clash song Fuck, I didn't even know people still watched TRL. Not bad, the LA secret show from last year was 3 hours and only $10. "I Fought the Law" came from the Pepsi commerical. Man, what a review whore "Pasalacqua" in this type of setting: Damn. # Christie Road |
