For the most part, I find southern rock to be far more obnoxious than redeeming. I'm all for a fighting spirit and healthy amount of attitude in the music I listen to, but it seems a lot of bands fitting that profile take style and swagger over substance. It's not so simple this time around, though, as Thunderlip draws as much from Iggy Pop as they do Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The question is: Can these guys come anywhere close to the almighty Nine Pound Hammer? Say your prayers and eat your vitamins, kids, cause the Hulkster's comin to town to drop the Big Boot and some 24" pythons down your chimney. The Macho Man's rap album slays all. this ones for hulk hogan and the wrestling boot band. And this one for the Hulkster. Score is for Rocky 3. thunderlip are the cat's pajamas. cool dudes, fun shows, rockin tunes. in my opinion, corrosion of conformity's deliverance is probably the best mix of southern rock and punk.. made right after keenan took over the band. yeah, its got a skynyrd feel, but theres also a heavy tharsh/punk style sound, much like a slowed down rkl. | Features
