The current nationwide Circle Takes the Square tour is one for the fans of the latest release, As the Roots Undo. The band is promising to play the entire record at every stop, including the often-requested nine-minute "Kill the Switch." It's also the first tour since a pretty hefty lineup change, replacing their original drummer and adding a second guitarist.

go kill yourself, colin. Speaking of Back When, anyone heard those guys? Amazing, just like Buried Inside but crazier!!! Not accurate. Bobby has been playing second guitar for over a year and has been on plenty of tours. Not accurate. Bobby has been playing second guitar for over a year and has been on plenty of tours. They didnt play the tacoma showa t the frame shop the night before because the drummer was hospitalized. All of the other bands were awesome though. yes did you attend SCAD by any chance? I have seen Circle play once (with old drummer) and it was an amazing experience. They nailed every guitar part, drum beats, lyrics were to a t. When I saw them there were only about 30 people present and it was like everyone was a zombie (a lot of indie type, artsey fartsy kids in the crowd). I really really want to see this tour but unfortunately it won't be anywhere near me. Nice review. 30 people really rocking out? How is that "a small group"? "so there was only a small group of about 30 really rocking out. " It's obvious that this band is pretty damn good, but damn, some people are just jocking them WAY too hard. They played Kill the Switch when they toured last year, at least when I saw them. It was great. Thanks for the info, Colin. Philly show wasn't the greatest. Missed Junius to get some chinese food, which also wasn't too great Colin, how do you get all those fucked up effects in your pictures (like the wide blue streaks)? Do you photoshop them or what? Quality review. So I finally got to see this band earlier this month after wanting to see them for a long time, even before As the Roots Undo officially came out. I then proceded to break my leg during their set. And it was, ironically I guess, during Kill the Switch. They only played an 18 joint when they rolled through here. Easily 50% of their fans are under 18. Dumb choice. |
