It's reissue season for Victory Records. January produced a reissue of the Autumn Offering's full-length debut; March a deluxe edition of Darkest Hour's So Sedated, So Secure; April, a reissue of Aiden's first full-length as well as the Sinai Beach album here in question; two collections of older material by Silverstein and the Junior Varsity are due out late Spring as well. This may be due to a lack of immediate releases from recent signings, or that besides releases from Atreyu and Dead to Fall, nothing comparatively major is out until at least late May. While the offering of releases may be a mixed bag, listeners should get a few solid albums out of it, including this one.

This band fucking sucks ass purely based on their lyrical content. They are fucking idiots. Namely the lyrics to this song right here: Strange Reaction can go fuck themselves. They are bootlegger materialist fucks. Since we are talkin about movies anybody out there love A Clockwork Orange?? that shit fuckin owns too...anybody out there seen that Why did you just say the definition of Atheism? Seems a bit redundant. Yeah, it's available on a bunch of blogs (maybe Strange Reaction or Something I Learned Today...), but it will be nice to see it get a real, official release (I imagine the band is involved this time). It's such a weird sounding album, to me. That Koro 7 inch is easy enough to Soulseek. I mean, fuck giving someone money for music that isn't theirs. "Ken, I don't know about any of that stuff being reissued (I don't see an Aus Rotten reissue happening anytime soon), but someone IS reissuing the Koro "700 Club" EP very very soon. Should be killer." Athesism is believing in no god or religion or devil or anything. oh, and Atheism is just as much a leap of blind faith as any other religion. There is no way to KNOW there is no god, so you are pretty much placing all your faith into a belief. Atheism pretty much is a religion since its based completely on faith. Now, agnosticism, that is pretty much void of faith in anything except knowledge. I liked Donnie Darko. I think people who try to over rationalize it are missing the point. It's not HOW it happened thats important, its WHAT happened thats important. It wasnt exactly meant to be a realistic glimpse into time travel and mental problems, just a fucked up set of images and ideas that are connected by a theme. I wouldnt go so far as to call it "film art" or anything, but it is definetly a different way of presenting ideas then your standard narrative. The dots dont have to connect, you just have to see where they are. The best way to watch that movie is on a scene to scene basis with your brain off. Since we are talkin about movies anybody out there love A Clockwork Orange?? that shit fuckin owns too...and how about Pulp Fiction and The Shining...need I say more.. It was just an average teenage horror drama with the usual plot holes, the difference is that people started to fill in the plot holes themselves to make it seem "deeper." Incorrect. Donnie Darko is, without a doubt, the most overrated film of all time. It means absolutely nothing. Donnie Darko fuckin owns!!!! donnie darko is the most overrated movie of all time I guarantee you didnt know what an agnostic was until you seen Donnie Darko. HAHAHA, I'm agnostic, so I'm better. "Most atheists are soulless, vapid intellectuals. Most atheists are soulless, vapid intellectuals. Wait...I just realised this is a music site. Is it just me, or does anyone else think that atheiests who consider themselves to be intellectually superior because they don't believe in "invisible men that live in clouds" are just as stupid/annoying/need to go play in traffic as Christians who think they are morally superior because they do? Yeah, a "few" bands... Like the bands that pretty much created the genre (Since Black Sabbath, metal has been Satanic), honed it, and most of the bands that perpetuate it. I am an atheiest but I find it pretty sad that their is a misconception because a few 'image' metal bands use the satan gimic, so anything even remotely metal is therefore satanic. ummm isnt the system works for them on the discography cd? Aus Rotten's "The System Works...For Them" LP What? Ok...so, I don't have anything to be an eliteist asshole about, other than saying "what's punk about being a conformist religion", and then someone who's a Christian will come back and say "because punk is anti-religion, it's non-conformist to be Christian". Except that argument doesn't work. Cause no one has any new ideas, so basically EVERYONE is a conformist. Except the Unabomber. Except for the whole, "sending bombs to people and blowing shit up" stuff, the unabomber was a pretty cool guy. "Christian Metal=Nazi Reggae Ken, I don't know about any of that stuff being reissued (I don't see an Aus Rotten reissue happening anytime soon), but someone IS reissuing the Koro "700 Club" EP very very soon. Should be killer. music even. The evil dead samples are enjoyable, the musis less so. Christian Metal=Nazi Reggae retrogessed Christian Metal=Nazi Reggae I would rather that music be lost in the super limited edition silk-screened abyss than let Victory go anywhere near it. Dear record labels, maybe you should reissue stuff that is actually HARD TO FIND? Maybe you could use ebay and the people paying $300 for the Koro 7" as a reference guide. Did you know the reason that VIctory reissures is solely because there are idiots out there that buy the album twice? facedown records. mosh for jesus. oh, good. they fixed the misspelling : |
