Remembering Never's third full-length on Ferret Records is easily their best to date. Just like their prior releases, they progress and improve between discs.

One of the biggest flaws on Remembering Never's last release, Women and Children Die First, was that it was boring and unmemorable. On God Save Us, Remembering Never have partially solved the problem. Throughout the album their musical ability has improved enough that a decent amount of the songs are actually memorable. On tracks like "T.H.U.G.L.I.F.E." the vocals are a mix of shouting and almost Bane-like vocals.The transition between the shout and clean singing bring another dimension compared to all the other hardcore bands that just do the same thing throughout.

The main problem with the disc however is the same problem so many hardocre bands go through. They try to preach a message down our throats and a majority of the time, people don't care. It's also hard to listen to music that features breakdowns as the 'technical' portions of songs.

So while Remembering Never's latest release has some redeemable qualities, it still fails where a majority of the bands in the genre do. With a little more effort invested in originality instead of their message and image, this could have been a really good album. But because of its flaws, it's only a good but not great hardcore album.

    i've always found this band to be incredibly boring. it was funny to wear one of thier shirts when i went to flordia last year though. i forgot that down south people wouldn't look highly upon a shirt that says "women and children die first" with a statue of the virgin mary holding baby jesus and they both have slit throats and he is holding a large knife.

    before anyone asks why i would buy a shirt for a band i don't like, i thought it was a nice shirt

    I think we should be less picky about which anonymous posters' houses we visit and burn the fuck down, considering the reviewer said nothing of the sort.

    How the bloody fuck can this reviewer say that hardcore bands should stay away from politics? This is like saying that Drive-Thru bands shouldn't sing about girls. Punknews, time to get more picky with your reviewers.

    This review sucked, hating on a hardcore band for preaching a message? So retarded. It's great that a band like Remembering Never actually bothers to preach a message since the majority of bands like them do nothing of the sort.

    This one I do agree was their best to date, I agree with the score though.

    Toledo, you forgot the to mention the one and only band on Trustkill who is actually good; Dead Hearts.

    Trustkill has some reasonable bands. On the softer side I like Roses are Red and can stand Hopesfall and Open Hand. On the hardcore side they have This is Hell & First Blood.

    But they also have Bedlight for Blueeyes, Fight Paris, and Bleeding Through. That's bad...

    normally when someone starts off a sentence in a review with "one of the biggest flaws" they actually give some technical examples of what the flaws were, that make someone go "ok there may be a point there". giving some vague ass two word opinion as an example of the "flaws" is not how you write a review.

    Ferret needs to stop wasting resources on this metal/mosh/bro/thugcore shit. Send some canned goods to Sudan or something. Do something positive. No one needs another bunch of fucking mongoloid mosh for idiots with hockeypucks in their ears to punch people to.
