Hi Parks. Thanks for commenting mom. This is the greatest record ever made. The only things that come EVEN CLOSE to this record in terms of cultural importance, passion, social commentary, and sheer musical genius are the other releases by Mike Park. MIKE PARK IS GOD. I'm not too familiar with Mike Park's material but I ordered this CD anyways being a rx bandits/ska fan. I found three of the six tracks to be too poppy for my liking, maybe it's his vocal style. But the song Go Feet Go! kicks ass. score is for mr hanalei. ruling song FatTony - I agree with you, I'd rather have a full-length than an EP, but at the same time, if every song is great I can't quite see the point of knocking off points just because it lacks a few other songs. That's just me, though. Anyway, nice review. great fucking cd. better than mike parks solo stuff imo great ep. soooooo much better than the old full length. highly recommend this. it's fuckin cheap, no excuses. Great little EP. Great CD, but the LTJ version is far superior. Seriously, this is an EP worthy of your immediate purchase! good review but LTJ version > RX anything i've never heard this band but i really enjoy that a band named after bruce lee is on asian man records. Hubitcherkokov: Simply put, I'd rather have 50 minutes of music instead of 15. Generally, I'm not a big fan of EPs. And with the consistency and quality of this one, I'd be interested in seeing if they could maintain that over the course of a full length album. So hopefully someday we'll see a full length from this incarnation of the Bruce Lee Band. "Don't Sit Next To Me..." was on the first full-length. It isn't Don't Sit Next To Me... Wasn't the acoustic track at the end Don't sit next to me because I'm asian? That's got to be my favorite song he's ever recorded with any band. |
