Review by: fathead See others by this writer www.punkbands.com (link) Only registered users can post comments Published on September 11th 2001 There was stillness. Looking into others' eyes, you could see a film in the air. The sun was bright and the sky was blue, but it was a dark day. The feeling of loss swept over this nation around 9 am this morning, September 11, 2001. It's everywhere. Every tv. channel, every radio station, every conversation, every breath. Violence reaps death. I couldn't take it anymore. I had to get in my car and drive, somewhere. What was in my stereo? This ep. Four dark, sadistic songs, all at breakneck speed. 'Halloween' by the Misfits, and the ironic 'The Boy Who Destroyed The World' are featured, along with 'Total Immortal' and 'Fall Children'. It was perfect for the day. Dark and pissed off, just how I was feeling. AFI helped vent the frustration oddly enough with songs about death. I have a new perspective of this record. Please login or register to post comments. great EP!!! This is the only AFI record I remotely enjoy. Just wanted to let everyone know I just posted a copy of AFI's All Hallow's EP 7" on orange vinyl on eBay! It's an awesome record in perfect condition that would complete anyone's AFI vinyl collection! This is the quintessential AFI record. Nothing they have produced since has come close to this in its intensity, its unbridled force, or its sound. This is an awesome EP. I have it on the limited edition clear orange vinyl (never been played cause I have the CD too). I'm moving house and seriously low on cash so the vinyl is up for sale. It'll be on ebay within the week so keep an eye out for it if you're interested. yall suk ass!!!..4 sho 4 sho..rap & hip hop is way fukin better than punk ass rock! I know this album only has 4 songs, one being a cover, I listen to it every damn day, it just never gets old. Besides, I've heard other covers of The Misfits' "Halloween" and AFI, I think did it justice the best. A great ep that cant be beaten, i havent picked up a better ep since i got this. you cant go wrong with this at all... all fans of punk.hardcore.hardcorepunk.and even metal will dig this album. One of the best EPs of all time. I've got the orange vinyl, and therefore, i'm better than most of you. AFI fucking rules and this cd is so kick ass, though it was one of the last cd's i got of them "Four dark, sadistic songs, all at breakneck speed. 'Halloween' by the Misfits, and the ironic 'The Boy Who Destroyed The World' are featured, along with 'Total Immortal' and 'Fall Children'." This was the First AFI cd is every got(and since then i have gotten a couple others) and this one is AMAZING. All the songs rock, it think any fan of AFI NEEDs to buy this CD, NOW! Since its so cheap I can't see anything against buying All Hallows. But since its an EP it just doesn't get much play must have only listened to it about 5 times. But AFI fans should have it and if you haven't heard AFI yet start of on one fo their albums. Oh and fuck off with very proud of ya and answers that stay fashionable they are AFIs 2 worst recordings. CallingLondon - i'd buy "Black Sails in the Sunset" first and then "The Art of Drowning" if you like the darker AFI lyrics that's on All Hallows. "Black Sails" is probably the best album i own or have ever heard. they put on an absolutely amazing live show and Davey Havok, in my estimation, has the best voice in any kind of music and writes some of the best lyrics. its dark poetry. can't wait for their new cd later this year!! i hope someone sees this...i don't really know much about AFI, but I do have this EP, and I love it. With that in mind, which full length of theirs should i purchase? This is AFI's best piece of work, ever. hurray for the misfits and for the great afi for keeping the style alive. overrated crap, stick with Answer That And Stay Fashionable A great EP.Fall Children is one of the best songs they wrote.Believe it or not, i was listening to 'Bombardiranje Nju Jorka'(The bombing of New York) by Satan Panonski (Croatian answer to GG), and turned on the tv and saw that shit... Definately a great ep. One of my favorite CD's. Did anybody happen to get it in it's limited orange vinyl version? Very good album. one of AFI's best albums i think. fast yet powerful music, awsome sound. This band is so good live now because they don't play any songs off Very proud of Ya. That was the first step in the right direction. i personally like very proud of ya.......this ep is good though, each song is great Masterpiece. AFI is cool...but you know what was playing in my car stereo... "riot on broadway" by the living end...talk about a crazy ironicy AFI is awesome..a lot of people bash this EP but I think it's great. And so are their other releases. Any AFI record deserves at least a 7. Definately worth owning, every song on this album is great. If only I could find the "Black Sails" ep...*sigh* |
