One of the stand-out Punk records of the last ten years. This is the beginning of Lagwagon's more mature and melodic sound. Joey Cape's singing reaches a plateau here, and the harmonies that we have come to expect of Lagwagon permiate the recording. Lagwagon has, in this album, produced their own significant contribution in the tradition of such landmark albums as "Punk In Drublic" and "Suburban Teenage Wasteland".

my bad wrong word, Great album One of the greatest. joey's vocals got awesome during this album. the songs are catchy and the music is just great. sleep is one of my favorite songs. Favorite record of all time. I've had a love/hate affair with this record. I loved it when it first came out and I was just getting into the epifat style of punk rock, I few years went by and I got more into the political/crust/whatever side of punk, and I started thinking this record was way too poppy and didn't like joey cape's nasal vocals! Now, I'm really digging it again, pure pop genius, it's not exactly 'millions of damn christions' or 'stations of the crass' but it's a great record! everyone who says NoFX is better than Lagwagon is a fucked up piece of shit One of the best Punk Albums of all time!!! Damn good listen. This is album is simply amazing! I will be listing this album till i die! The breaking point. Point of no-return. The point of "buttered-surfaces and jagged rocks". It bears many names; "The Black Album", "Recipe for Hate"....you get the idea. Well, this (In my humble opinion) is where the good ol' Lagin' Wagon took a plunge off of that nice plateau and into a "bed" of rusty razors. That isn't to say that I ever thought highly of Lagwagon before this release, but this was most definitely the nail in the coffin for them. I know this may seem like a patterned answer, but I honestly believed they peaked at "Trashed" and "Duh!"...which, in itself, is rather laughable. Like it or not, I'm going to eat some bagels. Unless you're a faggot, there's no possible way you could even think lagwagon is anywhere close to how good NOFX is. Lagwagon's good sure but not comparable to NOFX. Violins is a piece of shit out of a dog's ass compared to "The Decline." Anyone who thinks otherwise is truly gay and should keep wasting their money on New Found Glory and Blink 182 shows. This is one of the best albums I own. I think lagwagon is by far one of the best punk bands around. this should be an 11. this is the best lagwagon album in my opinion, and one of the best punk albums of the 90's. amazing amazing lyrics. heartfelt. intelligent pop punk w/ the fat punk style. sooooo goooood. fuck. and that guy that compared them to fenix should die.violins.....man...don't get better than that kids I got this when I was 14 and I thought it was absolute SHIT. Well I guess I put it into the don't bother listening to pile for a year or so before giving it another spin when I was 15 or 16 and I immediately realised I'd written these guys off way too early. HOSS is now my favourite album ever( in my top 5 at least ) Love 'em...... Hoss is Brilliant. Joey Cape provides deep emotional lyrics while the guitars of jesse and chris and others kick ass in every track! Fenix Tx? Whos that? Fenix Tx wishes they were lagwagon. Man nobody sucks anybody's dick here... we are all friends here. They are two very good punk bands and....and.... welp see ya later. Fenix TX.. are you joking dude. So wait you think NOFX is less trendy then Lagwagon....HAHA, and i have a nsync cd (i dont for those of you who cant get jokes). NOFX DOES SUCK LAGWAGONS DICK. But anyways, this is a classic Lagwagon album, but then again wtf isnt. Most commoners liek this the best, i dont think so, but its still the best album ur gonna get for a year or two. What could expect more from the god name Joey Cape. Lagwagon fucking rocks and bad astronaut does. By thw way your review sucks GREEEEEAAAAAAAATTTTTTT! This album doesn't deserve a 10. Trashed and Duh were way better. Fenix TX? You must be joking... Yeah asshole. Maybe you should know something about the band before you say some shit like that. LagWagon is a fantastic band and in many places (fx songwriting and quality) they are far better than NOFX. Don't get me wrong I love NOFX but Lagwagon is still better. what? are we talking about the same lagwagon here? maybe you should listen to their records before you say something stupid like that, dick. Lagwagon is no competition for NOFX. lagwagon is incredibly trendy and poppy in all respects and could never compare or amount to any decent punk band. they should be on tour with Fenix or something. thats about their equal. this is why nofx sux dick compared to lagwagon |
