During my early days of high school I listened to punk and only punk music for the most part. Albums by bands like NOFX, Lagwagon and No Use for a Name never left my stereo, and among these bands was another great band called Subb. Subb are a five-piece ska-punk act hailing from Montreal, Quebec who shares common ground with bands such as Sublime and Bad Religion. Subb have been releasing albums and touring across Canada for the past decade, however have remained relatively quiet throughout the past few years. Fast forward to June 2006, and their latest offering, The Motions, was to be the band's highly anticipated offering for long-awaiting fans.

Just a solid album. The best Canadian release from '06. Excellent record! Good work! One of the best canadian record of 2006! I really always hated Subb until this album. The album is awesome... this album is amazing..listen to it more then once.. quite good, I can tell the boys have been listening to anti-flag, even the vocals in factories songs chorus are a-f. the review's a little harsh. poor review. this record deserves a higher score. love it! this record is better than showed in this review. I give them 4 stars. cheers That's weird. I prefer this cd to all their previous ones. I`ve always liked their ska more than their punk songs. Anyway, this cd is very catchy and most songs will get stuck in your head for a while. Their cover of Rancid's tattoo is pretty good. This album is pretty good. The ska songs are actually pretty good, albeit bit a cliche. i personally love this album, and these guys are fantastic live wow this band is one of those bands that was always there for some fun times, I had no idea they had a new release. 2 B's! |
