When vocalist Steve Sindoni quit Breather Resist last year, the remaining members decided to continue the band as a three-piece, though they would no longer perform their old songs. But after they were done writing and recording their new album, it was obvious that the band could no longer be considered Breather Resist, as the sound had changed so much. In a move that really deserves some praise, they dropped the name and became Young Widows, to mark an entirely new beginning.

Ahahahaha I agree with the cover art comment. Spit up some intestines why don't you. CombatwoundedVeteran called. They want their cover art back. great review except for your facts on steve leaving. he was kicked out because apparently he is just too annoying of a person to tour with. Man, us gusy need to listen to the STones or Zeppelin mroe. the artwork was not done by steak mtn. this is at least a 9/10. in addition to this, the coliseum/young widows split is serious business. breather resist were a band that i really WANTED to like (ie i love black cross, and i love mathy hardcore) but frankly they were pretty boring. they had all the right ingredients but nothing stuck. nothing was memorable. but the young widows song i heard sounded really great, i might check this out. it definitely sounded TJL-esque and that sounds good to me. incredible record. dude, this album isnt that coo gusy. it sounds mor lik ethe rolling stones ro something. and seriousy gusy, woulnd't you rather hear the stones?!?!?! i saw the stones on wensday and they rocked my fuckin socks off. so bottom line, fuck the jesus lizard and get into the stones or zepplin already. how old r u?????? I was sad at first when Steve left BR. I'm still sad because I like his vocals a lot. This album is quite good though, so that keeps me from crying. That's two Jesus Lizard comparisons, I guess I'll have to order this. You can spot Steak Mtn. from a mile away. The Jesus Lizard comparison is spot on. I'll have to check this out. |
