drunk driving is the best. you just dont know it.. I went to the same tour, I went to the show at the Glass House in Pomona. You're right. Idiots who say how many beers they had will never stop doing it. They somehow have it in their minds that it makes them cool. "after college you'll realize saying how many beers you had is for faggots" right, well i don't really like jam bands at all. i'm a lot more interested in punk and ska. so it makes sense that i like live shows of Sublime, The Slackers, Mike Watt, Hepcat, etc. who go further than just playing their studio songs live. You know who else can reall improvise and make every set sound different every night? interesting way of confessing... first time ever mentioning this, ever.... I have about 15 live bootleg shows. Sublime was one of the few punk bands that could really improvise, i mean REALLY improvise and Bradley was a master of pulling lyrics out of thin air. There aren't many bands out there who can compose a setlist of Bad Religion, Bob Marley, Bad Brains, Grateful Dead, and Dee Dee Warwick and make them all sound original. For most punk bands, you can record a whole tour of shows and all the songs will sound the same. But with Sublime, it was something different every night. GPM- yeah im a typical college kid. there's a lot of us 24 y/o freshmen running around. we get it, you are so cool you drank soooo much wrong. one of the best live punk bands to date. Guys, let's just agree: Sublime is one of the biggest musical travesties to ever make it big. Bout the guy ripping on Sublime for "borrowing" lyrics. you are a complete idiot how is time again no good. "an addendum to the suckage of Sublime: Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 5:54 PM (EST) an addendum to the suckage of Sublime: I'm the kid who made the comment about the Specials. First of all, this dude: Sweet dude. Drunk driving. You really are against authority! As impressed as I am at your ability to use a dictionary, "chic" and "heroin chic" are different things. They're also usually used to highlight different positive aspects of someone's appearance. voodoo glow skulls are amazing. i don't understand why they get ragged on all the time. the lyrics are the weakest link, but their horn section is relentless. im not afraid to admit, I like time again, the whole " they sound so much like rancid, blah blah", good grief, everyone sounds like everyone at some point, enough already. -oldpunker- I agree with this review. I had to watch Time Again open for the Briggs a few months ago, they were fucking awful. Voodoo glow Skulls have a few good songs but are basically mediocre. In my opinion AAA is probably the most underated punk band that is still together and they should definetely have headlined this show. Man, how I wish your drunk driving ass had plowed into a tree on the way home. "I love ska (real ska) and I hate the Specials. I think people should stop using them as the infallible ska band. They are one of those bands that all their good songs turn out to be covers.... (Sublime)" This review was an entertaining read... Fuck this tour for canceling the reno date. Actually, fuck J-max productions for canceling this tour in reno. Nice Jughead's Revenge refernece, though. What the fuck happened to them?? Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 3:46 PM (EST) Also, why do keep mentioning the brands of beer that you drink? Are you sponsored? You need to learn to use the word "by-product" correctly. Same goes for the phrase "heroin chik". Also, why did you write a review of a show when you don't seem to remember much about it? Did you seriously just accuse The Specials of covering Sublime. First of all other than The Specials and Sublime having something like 20 years in between them, Sublime only played like 10 seconds of A Message To You Rudy and The Specials version is an actual song. I can't believe 15 year old chubby ska kids still think they need to make that comment in 2006. None of us were saying "pfft fuck the skatalites or the Selecter, Against All Authority are the true Ska. I love ska (real ska) and I hate the Specials. I think people should stop using them as the infallible ska band. They are one of those bands that all their good songs turn out to be covers.... (Sublime) These bands are utter shit and "ska" is a genre that neither of these acts play. About 40% of all traffic related deaths are due to alcohol. What does this tell us? The drunk drivers are still beating the sober drivers! It sounds to me like the drunks are getting a bad rap here. In Minneapolis the Time Again singer started blabbing awkwardly about how he had to drink water to keep his voice good... since he was updating us on his status, I shouted out, "I poop too much! Then I get tired". and then he made fun of my friends and I for standing near the back with our arms crossed (we were there for the flatliners). Time Again is a good band, they play good music, the lead singer is kind of stupid but the other members are rad. Listen to "Cold Concrete" and "Kenny." I went to this show in Oregon and it was a blast. Score is for that show. No, it tells us that an overwhelming majority of driving is done sober, and as such the statistics accord more accidents to sober people than drunk people, despite the increased likelihood of getting into one when you're drunk. Learn to not be stupid, yah. 35% of accidents are caused by pixilated Score is for the review, AAA, VGS, or the Vegas stop of this tour. You decide. Knock one back, have another one, drinkin n drivin is so much fun! Corpus Christi has a punk scene?!?!?! Well-written review! I missed this tour last month because I'm a forgetful idiot. your a worthless drunk driving peice of fuck. fuck you asshole. ive got your horn you assholes. hahahaha. long live matty luv. wow, published within ~2 days of submission. thats gotta be some sorta record. time again fucking rules, so does AAA. Score is for AAA. I saw them last month with Time Again, and I have to agree that Time Again are fucking terrible. Sorry guys, you blow. is this the first chapter of a novel? |
