Ambition MissionAmbition Mission (2001)Government Music Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: RedLine (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on September 26th 2001 In an all too familiar happening Ambition Mission was one of those bands that never caught on, but you swore they were one of the best. You know the one where when you went to any of their shows everybody was friends and if the band saw you and they didn't know you they come up to you and talk to you and basically force you to be their friend. Those kind of bands are the best. Everybody knows at least a couple of those...this band is one of mine. Hailing from the Windy City and forming from ex members of such bands like Rustweiler & the Mushuganas. Ambition Mission played that oh-so-lovable East Bay-ish sloppy punk[ala Crimpshrine or Hickey]...kinda poppy but the vocals were just a little too "not quite there" to be called pop-punk. This disc presents every recording they ever made[35 songs!]. Some of the songs were even forgotten about until we got to the mastering process. Anyway, I loved this band and they broke up over a year ago and I'm still sad that they're gone. But I do feel proud to be a part of them in this little way of releasing this discography. Check 'em out and hopefully you take a little bit of the Mission with you. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
