After the Room Clears, the debut full-length from Long Island’s Permanent Me, manages to bring to the table the same blend of rock and pop-punk that has been done so many times before that it’d be easy to dismiss the album prior to even listening to it. And while originality isn’t the high point for this four-piece, the band has still managed to garner numerous positive reviews and a decent amount of press coverage, all claiming that this band has what it takes to be the next breakout band, or should I say, the ‘flavor of the week’ band.

You know it's gonna be good when all their comments on myspace are from underage chicks. I like some pretty poppy stuff, but I couldn't even stomach that "Allison" song. Puke. Thank god for this review. Right on the head. Which band are we talking about again? I've already forgotten... This album does suck. But I'm sick of people saying that auto tune makes vocals sound good, because it really doesn't. A bad singer will still sound like a bad singer reguardless of auto tune. but of course it won't be, since Stolen Transmission has no idea how to sell records hearing this band makes me impotent. I only like the song "Allison", because it's my name. i feel exactly the same way as scott said below me, the song Allison is fucking supurb but the rest of there songs are very boring That "Allison" song should be a smash hit (but of course it won't be, since Stolen Transmission has no idea how to sell records). The rest of this record was completely forgettable, however. |
