Big Business is a pretty polarizing band. From what I gather, people either really love it or just really hate it. It is quite understandable, as the sludgy noise genre is not exactly the most toe-tapping music around. But for the two-headed beast of the now part-time Big Business / part-time Melvins members duo, their second album Here Come the Waterworks takes everything good about the debut and makes it better.

Hands down it's Hands Up! BB is getting better and better. I agree about the tone of the CD. Almost commercial. Hands down it's Hands Up! BB is getting better and better. I agree about the tone of the CD. Almost commercial. Dude, "tight bros from way back" is probally the best name a band could have. that one song on the last album with the "digging for fossils" lyric was pretty silly, I like this band i didn't read the review but this album slays. give it 5 stars you pussy. I'm a big fan of anything Jared Warren's been involved in musically (Karp, the Whip, Tight Bros from Way Back When). He can write a heavy good tune and is a super nice fellow. I wouldn't call them sludgy noise. They're mostly a rock band. score's for i farm's "here come the waterworks" the right score. This album took a few listens, now im hooked. it's really cool that this made top spot. Who the fuck hates Big Business? Lameoids, thats who. this band is okay, not great but not bad by any means I like these guys. Entertaining and original stuff. Simple, but does the trick. |
