To many of you, Tanaou are probably gonna sound pretty familiar. Whilst past lazy comparisons to Straylight Run and the Anniversary may have truth in them, I could spend forever listing melodic emo bands from the 1990s that these kids from the UK draw influence from.

Yikes. I listened to their mp3s on myspace, and this is definately not my bag. Wow I really don't like this ... at all. Sounds overly dramatic, and waaaay over the top. But then again I'm sure some peeps will like it. I don't know, I mean, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly's success has helped them a bit already and I don't think it would be that hard for them to get their album released by a pretty well known label cause I've heard there's been interest in them from some. But yeah they are top blokes too. This EP always warrents repeated listens. The interweaving of instrumental textures draws you so completely that when it shifts (i.e. time for a change) it really hits you. you can get it on amazon.co.uk but not amazon.com. it's like, £4 so it'll probably work out at about $10. this sounds good.... whycan't i buy this online god damn right, they're live shows are amazing. if you're from their town, it makes it all the better too. This band is going to blow up bigtime purely based on their live shows. Musically, they're not really my thing but this band smokes any band in the genre when it comes to playing live. what the fuck, that fucking gay ass good charlotte song just started blaring out of my speakers ...take that fucking banner off |
