Wow. Okay. Mom always said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all," but I'm having an extremely difficult time finding anything nice to say about City Sleeps and their debut, Not an Angel. I mean, even the worst bands and records usually have some sort of redeeming quality about them. But this is just...awful. Not an Angel is bland, overproduced radio rock at its absolute worst. And no, I don't know what is bland, overproduced radio rock at its absolute best, but I'm sure it's terrible and that I never want to hear it ever.

worst label ever! / have been for a long long time. "If you don't like the band, don't comment!" Sometimes I feel like Trustkill is going out of their way to sign terrible bands. Mostly as of late, though. This? Stonerider? Memphis May Fire? Sick City? Come on. I saw these assholes open for Goldfinger two or three years ago. It was a sad, sad joke. They were arrogant, yet horrible. I didn't hear anything from them for a while and I was kind of pleased. But I guess they finally pooped out and album. As much as I liked the first two Goldfinger albums in middle school, I gotta say FUCK JON FELDMAN. That guy has made a career of mass producing shitty bands (MEst, Used, and now this turd). If you don't like the band, don't comment! City Sleeps Rocks! I love that somg. that font pretty much gives away what these guys are going to sound like. this record pretty much sucks. the only thing i like about it is the song "ordinary high". the rest is just... forgettable. |
