I once heard that men retain direct quotations (from movies, TV, media) something like twice as much as women. Why is this significant, you ask? It isn’t really, but I’m going to use it to justify describing an entire album with just one sentence. The quote in question comes from another Victory band’s release, that of Catch 22 and Washed Up and Through the Ringer. During the live portion of the release, there’s a period where the guitarist is evaluating the tuning on his guitar, and segways that theme into an introduction of their next song, “Sounds Good But I Don’t Know.” And that is exactly how I would describe Ringworm’s latest album, The Venomous Grand Design.

Second best Ringworm release and it's certainly better than their last release 'Justice Replaced by Revenge', which was also awesome. Uh... The vocals are the best part of this band's last two records. Nothing's going to top the demo/first LP, so get that if you're a doubter. Ringworm rules. You all are crazy. These kinds of bands are pretty good, but nothing extraordinary. Gehenna was the best one, imho. score is for ringworm lady. Yeah, this sounds pretty bad. The vocals are just awful. I think the acceptable vocal range for my ears tips out at Comeback Kid, though. Anything beyond that usually sounds bad to me. Except maybe Darkest Hour. Wow, I really can't get into this guys voice. "I Preach to No One" would be a sick song, but there's just something about that voice... words can not express how much fuck this band |
