One of the problems with reviewing a disc is that there is that people always assume that you are reviewing the band itself, and the quality of the songs they've written. And while it would be nice if it were that simple, the production quality of a disc can have a huge impact on the score. Please login or register to post comments. It's good. It could be a lot better. Hoping for good things in the future. is that deniro on the cover? This is actually quite exciting, really looking forward to what these guys produce in the future i'm with dan... these guys might be young, but their live performance is WAY better than the production quality of the record. you will be seeing these dudes everywhere soon!! and if i might add the record is great. yeah you can complain about the sound quality, but the fact is that these guys write good songs and no matter if they recorded it in a basement w an invalid or an infamous producer behind the board you have to recognize their talent. I'm enjoying what i'm hearing on the Myspace alot. Although them being 19, several years younger than me, puts me off, purely based on jealousy. i have to agree the production almost turns me away from this record, but there are some real gems on the disc worth rocking out to. its obvious the songwriting is great. all i have to see is see this band live!!!! they are awesome and next time around in a better recording situation im sure they will totall fucking shine! i love this band and this record This review is almost completely about the production of the record. While Captain, We're Sinking may be 19 years old, they write songs our elder statesmen would be jealous of. This record is fucking incredible, don't let the production scare you off, not everyone has the money to come out of the gate and record with bill stevenson or brian mcternan. This band will be your against me next year. |
