Thursday / EnvySplit [12 inch] (2008)Temporary Residence Reviewer Rating: User Rating: Contributed by: Brian (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on November 11th 2008
Thursday splitting an LP with Envy is both confounding and sensible in a number of ways, but the "why"s we can let be determined by others. The fact of the matter is, the opportunity to hear new material from either band is one to relish, especially given Thursday's newfound independence and Envy's increasingly progressive idea of the places both post-rock and traditional screamo can go.

got mine today. package is sweet, art is sweet, bronze vinyl is sweet. didn't enjoy this nearly as much as i thought i would. each band has one killer track. one filler track. and one meh could careless track. the packaging/vinyl are amazing though. Thursday tracks are nice. Very cool to hear them play like they used too. I'm glad they way they started screaming after Full Collapse is not being done anymore... This is supposed to be a one time pressing and the only way to get it from what I understand. i got mine about two weeks ago So, as I brace myself for attack, will this be available on cd? So, as I brace myself for attack, will this be available on cd? I just received an email saying that it was shipped today, so I guess that answers my question. I'm quite excited for this. i'm still waiting to receive mine also. got the email about the delay at the factory. to the people who got theirs, what day did you get it? If you think this is quality Envy then you haven't listened to much of their catalogue. They write songs like these in their sleep. Did anyone who ordered this through the Thursday merch store receive their copy yet? I got the email saying it was going to be delayed, i was just wondering if anyone knew for how long. Beautiful packaging and both sides are amazing. I'm really excited to hear more of Thursday in this direction. Envy's side has me pumped for their next release as well. The packaging is excellent for this. the packaging for all of this rules too. i love both bands almost about the same, but envy's side was way more enjoyable as well as the easiest to listen regularly. both bands need to release LPs soon. envy's way over due with one, but their past 3 EPs/Splits have been some of their best work so i guess don't fix what isn't broken. regardless of how i feel about thursday's side, i'm excited for their new record. "as he climbed the dark mountain" has got me totally excited for a new thursday album I really enjoy the Envy songs. | Features
