Japanther / Prizzy Prizzy Pleaselive in Cincinnati (2009)live show Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: superskabro (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on April 7th 2009
I guess you could say that I'm a bit spoiled. Running a basement venue in Indianapolis, I see tons of great bands in my own basement. There's no asshole security, no service charges, no guarantees and no hassle. A recent trip to The House of Blues in Chicago (with service charges and security assholes a-plenty!) reminded me of exactly how good I had it with the basement gig and how much I appreciate the sense of community that comes with a house show.

Prizzy Prizzy Please are totally awesome. More people need to check them out. Hey Nick! Lookin' forward to playing your house again soon. House shows do indeed rule, and this sounds like it was a pretty sweet one. Japanther seem like a really 'authentic' and 'honest' band, with a 'DIY mentality.' Glad some 'real' bands are getting some coverage on this website. The Japancakes were waaay better I saw Japanther a week ago in Geneseo, NY at a house show. Those dudes know how to rock a house party live. japandroids > japanther Terrible band. They are 1/3 bands i have ever walked out on. Bikehaus = Best house. gay band | Features
