A lot of people thought the Pietasters misfired with 1997's "Willis." The production was bigger and louder than 1995's "Oolooloo." Instead of featuring smooth vocals and playful ska, the Pietasters churned out a growling ska-rock record. In all fairness, the album was actually quite awesome, just a slight departure.

i've only got a tape of this one but it's fucking great if you like the pietasters you might as well check out where they sound best, and that is Strapped Live, a live CD they released a while bag. my favorite pie CD. ever has some cool crowd noise like the screaming of a girl at the start of "without you" Pretty weak CD for this band. woolooloolololollloooo and Willis were much better I thought. Opinions are like assholes though. |
