With Our Circle Is Vicious, Rise and Fall have created a punishing record of thoughtful hardcore that successfully integrates melody and establishes textures similar to Deathwish heroes Modern Life Is War. However, unlike MLIW, Rise and Fall is especially brooding and heavily drop -tuned; it's a fitting soundtrack for the coldest of autumn nights.

i fucking love this album. Couldn't get into Into Oblivion, but digging this. Go figure. Wait, Mike liked a hardcore record? ah okay, yeah I could see that. It's a similar way they put melody in subtly, I don't mean they sound anything alike. huh, I like this record, but I do not get a MLIW vibe at all. Excellent album. Not perfect, but definitely worth your time. Excellent album. One of my favorites thus far. | Features
