Why did it take so long for me to review this album, you ask? Well, I kept waiting for the promo company to send me a lyrics sheet, but I never got one.

Greg Anderson and Aaron Turner making music together = brilliance. no Dopamines' review? fuck that! Did not know Greg Anderson was on this. I got tired of Pelican pretty fast, and they seem sort of disingenuous to me, but I guess I should check this out now. Solid review, especially since you're not into drone/doom. I never had the chance to check this out but now I will make a point to. Wasn't a big fan of their last record, and they are kinda Zzzzz live, however, their studio work is usually pretty awesome. This album has some of the strongest and weakest Pelican material. Overall pretty good. |
