More aftershocks felt from Hellfest cancellation

According to local paper, The Trentonian, there continue to be aftershocks felt after the cancellation of this year's Hellfest.

According to the story:

Witnesses said the Hellfest bus, a yellow school bus painted in the concert's logo that was used to promote the event, was seen doing doughnuts, knocking down traffic cones and driving wildly through the South Broad Street parking lot. [...] Police suspect organizer Shawn Van Der Poel recklessly drove the bus into the lot and jumped some curbs before speeding the bus back out onto South Broad Street.

While Van De Poel denies that he was driving the bus, he says "I don't really care what people think at this point. We are very emotional about this" A local police officer told the newspaper "It definitely shows you what [it] was going to be [at] this event,"

As for the show, apparently the arena itself sold about 3500 tickets, with online sales likely accounting for many more and despite some allegations about band's being unpaid, Van Der Poel denied those claims saying that the deposit for the Lifetime reunion alone cost organizers $12,500.

Today also marks the final day of replacement shows, and while a number of shows are planned, and can be found below, one of the largest: WhattheHellfest has been cancelled. Organizers of the show explain that:

The township of Hackettstown and its police department saw on the news that Hellfest was expecting 6000 kids. This caused them to take action against us simply because they figured we would be the same, which is definitely not the case. We explained to them that we are in NO way affiliated with Hellfest and that Hellfest had around 200 bands while we only have 20.
