Music: New music from Hot Cross and A Day In Black & White

Hot Cross has posted a stream of a new track on their Myspace page, taken from recent demo sessions with Anodyne's Mike Hill. You can check out the song by clicking here: "Existence." While the band recently released a split 7" with labelmates the Holy Shroud featuring "Tacoma," the band's contribution to the forthcoming Fat Wreck Chords Protect benefit compilation, plans have also been announced to release a new EP in early 2006 on Ontario's Goodfellow Records, with a full-length on Level-Plane to follow a short while later. Both follow up 2004's Fair Trades And Farewells EP as well as their debut full-length, 2003's Cryonics. Recording begins with Kurt Ballou (Converge, American Nightmare, Orchid) in December.

In other label news, A Day In Black & White have finished the week-long recording session for their debut full-length, produced by Ballou as well. Two songs have been posted for streaming, and an October 25th release date has been set for the album, entitled Notes. You can click here to check the tracks out: "A Literal Title" & "New Energy." Both bands appeared on Level-Plane's recent double-disc compilation, 80 Records And We're Not Broke (Yet).
