AFI redesigns website, previously unreleased track available, recording update

AFI relaunched their official website today and have also posted a previously unreleased track on their myspace page. The track, titled "Rabbits Are Roadkill On Route 37," was a product of the original Sing the Sorrow sessions and will appear on an upcoming compilation produced by the Newscorp/Fox-owned Myspace.

The band was recently interviewed on KROQ and discussed the status of their upcoming full length follow up to Sing the Sorrow. The band has about three weeks of studio time remaining and hopes to release the album as early as February 2006.

The band recently announced that they will be joing the the Australia/New Zealand-based Big Day Out tour. The band will perform six dates along with tourmates including Iggy and the Stooges, Franz Ferdinand, Kings of Leon, The Mars Volta, Sleater-Kinney, the Living End, Youth Group.
